Wasn’t it so neat back in the day to get free stuff from the food manufacturers! Beautiful glass from peanut butter!!?? I remember my mom getting free towels or glasses from powdered laundry detergent boxes! Again- the merchandise in that store never ceases to amaze me!
I remember my mom getting those dishes in the powdered laundry detergent. I think one was call Duz detergent. Anyone remember S&H green stamps. Now I'm really telling my age😂😂😂

I remember my mother and grandmother collecting their green stamps. 🟩We'd all load up in the station wagon and go to the green stamp store to shop with their bounty of stamps. 🚗I worked as a cashier where they gave away green stamps according to the amount of groceries you purchased. 👍The customers would make sure I gave them every single stamp due. 😂It was definitely a big deal!! 👍Thanks for the memories!! 🤗💜🤗
The invention I could not live without is air conditioning! I hate being too warm-I get an upset stomach and a headache. Ugh.

I too, get terrible migraines and in this Florida heat and humid or even rainy weather they are worse. No way could I live without A/C. I told my son, I could live without a lot of things,, but I can't take it when my A/C has went out.

Omg, they were the exact dining room chairs I inherited from my great grandmother, that I had to sell when I moved to England! Even down to the pattern on the chairs, except the background was black instead of pink! As I said earlier in another vlog, it came with a hutch with the drawers on the bottom half, buffet, six chairs and dining table. The dining table came with an extension piece and a fold out pad you would put on top to preserve the wood when you would eat on it.

Yes, I remember Dallas! My mom and aunt would watch it together, along with Falcon Crest, Dynasty and Knots Landing! lol!

The secretary piece was gorgeous was indeed gorgeous, in fact I made up one myself for my husband for a birthday gift. I bought a drop down bottom half writing bureau and separate top piece that I placed on top. I was lucky to find a top piece that fit! I bought it at an antique warehouse that antique dealers would get their pieces from. It was definitely cheaper there. In fact, I bought a display bookcase cabinet, and my husband bought me our dining room chairs from them. Or should I say Santa did, since they were a Christmas present.
Sadly I don’t remember getting peanut butter from the glass dishes, but I do remember getting Welch’s grape jelly in glass jars with the Flinstone’s on them. I’m talking about in the mid 60’s, my mom used them as juice glasses after we used them up.
Again, thank you for taking me down memory lane, especially seeing the exact dining room chairs I inherited, who would’ve known?! lol!

I had a desk like that. As much as I love my coffee maker but heating and air conditioning. My mom did a big wash using a wash board while still she was in labor with. I remember helping doing the washing with the old wringer washer. I’m old😅. 😊❤

@@comegowithmetoday I did have one tough mom. 12 children, two miscarriages. While she was having her last 3, myself n 2 boys, she was getting about 5 grandchildren.
It would be hard for any of us to do without most inventions now. I love heat and air, indoor toilet, and yes a washer/dryer. Not having a car would be awful too.
Those needle point chairs were pretty. The gray fabric you put your hand on at 5:45 would be beautiful to make drapes out of and it was a large roll. All you need are side panels with white sheers in the middle. Plenty on that roll for several windows. I love enamel ware plates and bowls...lightweight and sturdy. I would have wanted the red and green ones at the 11:20 mark. As always, they have some great picks on sofas and chairs.

Hey Kelly gal! ❤ the green brocade armless chair, the Mahogany needlepoint chairs, the milk glass shakers. But my favorite is the Belleek bread plate!!!😍(I think I mentioned I collect Belleek) I do not have this piece and their price is fantastic!!! Ugh I wish I lived closer! My hubs would love that vintage military cooler. It's so hard to just pick one invention...I do enjoy my creature comforts!😅 I guess mine would be running water/hot water heater!!! My hubs could completely live off grid and have no running water or hot water for showers. Just No! The thought of showering in very little water with ice cold temperatures is not something I'm willing to do. But air conditioning/heat, washer/dryer, and electricity in general is also right up there on my list! I cannot imagine how hard it was to live like our ancestors did. The needle point chairs were beautiful Kelly, and what a fantastic price! I have to say I have never seen peanut butter sold in pretty glasses. I don't think we had those around here. As for the appliance I couldn't live without, it's the microwave oven. 😊

Best invention? How about a flushable toilet,lol. My grandparents had an outhouse. My dad was a plumber and put in their first bathroom…it changed their lives!lol

My grandmother had an old wringer washer in her basement, though it hadn’t been used for many years. Loved those flowered plates. I may have actually had some many years ago! My first thought about the appliance I couldn’t live without is my frother!😂 I only drink one (xl) cup, but it’s STRONG and I froth my milk. I can’t imagine doing laundry by hand. 😳 I don’t mind air drying, but I swear it’s been raining since July, with a few snow storms lately. Thanks, Kelly!!

I definitely remember JR Ewing. My mom and I watched Dallas every week and that "who shot JR" was the biggest thing back then while everyone tried to guess who the shooter was. I remember viewers and us were so excited waiting for that new season to start so we would finally find out.

I have to agree about the washer although I have a combo it's definitely the washer. Those small vases are also very nice on a dresser or in the bathroom for combs and brushes, makeup brushes. 👍💕

Wonderful finds Kelly. The chairs with the needlepoint are so special. Something I know takes lots of love and time to do. I don't do needlepoint anymore, it's too small for my eyes to see. I can't live without my coffeemaker. I drink it 24/7. How I would love the roll of fabric you pointed out that was double sided. I'd be making pillows. Thank you for another trip my dear friend.
I love needlepoint too but don’t have the eyesight anymore either. I see those bolts of fabric and so inexpensive and think of all the pillows and table covers I’d love to make. Can’t live without my coffee either, my doctor says I don’t have blood running through my veins, just lots of black coffee 😂

Treasures from antique to sophisticated modern Loved the antique secretary, the needlepoint cover dining chairs and the Belleek plate! Those fabric rolls are amazing. So, I might be able to wash clothes by hand and cook on a wood stove, but I would have to have a refrigerator! 😁

how do you restrain from buying everything- if I lived near there my home would be choked full of all these beautiful items or I would have to buy a barn and set up a shop and sell many of these items for real value not these prices that are just so low- I guess coming from NY I am so used to absolutely crazy prices for so many of these beautiful items... I've bought dishes, yard tools, ornaments, pictures, a fabulous large stool, vases etc. My channel is focused more on what we find vs a haul.
