It’s a good time to be a Chargers fan⚡️⚡️⚡️
Indeed brotha Bolt Up
Said nobody
@@leonelorozco7187Nobody has it better than us
Chargers fan for about 40yrs and this off season is definitely thee most interesting I've ever seen in a great way. Can't wait to see the practices and full on battles that will hopefully create some absolute DOGGS!! BOLT FAM, we're in for a excitingly physical smashmouth punch them in the throat season! (I hope LOL) ⚡️⚡️LETS GO BOLTZ!!⚡️⚡️BOLT💪🏽💪🏽UP⚡️⚡️
"...Dont let the powder blues fool you..."
~ Coach Harbaugh
Just curious, what’s some of ur other favorite free agencies we’ve had over ur tenure as a fan
I've been a fan for forty years as well,42 to be exact, and there has never been an off-season like this. The amount of holes we have plugged with quality players in the draft, and udfs, the system fits in FA, ,the letting go of star wr's, the return to smash-mouth physical football courtesy of our biggest coaching hire ever ! As for biggest FA seasons that probably came two years ago when we got JC , Mack, Kyle Van Noy,Sebastian Joseph Day, Austin Johnson,Gerald Everett,Dustin Hopkins and Chase Daniels.
@@dontnonowuno9953 - they traded for Mack.
⚡️⚡️⚡️
I found my fellow silverbacks !!! 57 yr old San Diego native who's grandmother had season tickets starting when Balboa was the home of the Bolts !!! This new regime is exiting to say the least !! Enjoy my fellow arthritics !!!!⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️💙💛
Like he said ….. “all competitor’s welcome” … heck yeah!!
I have never seen so much decent Depth on this team before.
Derius Davis is the new Sproles!!!!
Play action deep ball guy for sure 👍
If we can finally utilize him correctly, guys can actually block
@@pacificbeatz5440 - i highly doubt he will be running many deep routes if any at all!
Kamani Vidal is the new Sproles.
With good blocking on a screen or bubble… yards!
It seems like they are trying to mimic the kind of receivers Justin had in 2020 and 2021. A couple of speedsters, a contested catch guy with separation skills and a consistent route runner with elite separation skills! Herbert was incredible in those two years with the deep ball.
I’m sure herbie had some insights on what he wanted !
Man that split second in the air with the camera panning...... love that
Them bringing in a lot of WR shows you that there are a lot of talented Wide receivers. I love that they are bringing in talented players that they can offered.
Sadly, the reality is, at least one of these guys will be on IR. This regime is smart to play the odds and have plenty of insurance in case of injuries.
If we want to keep all 7 receivers rn ⚡️yes you can roster 7 WR
QB: Herbert, Stick (2)
RB: Gus, JK, Kimani (3)
FB: Ben Mason (1)
WR: Palmer, QJ, Ladd, Chark, Davis, Rice, Cornelius (7)
TE: Disely, Hayden, Parham, Zach Heins (4)
Oline: Slater, Zion, Bozeman, Alt, Pipkins, Salyer, McFadden, Jaimes (8)
Dline: Poona, Fox, Otito, Eboigbe, Matlock, Hinton (6)
Edge: Bosa, Mack, Tuli, Bevin Allen (4)
LB: Denzel, Henley, Junior, Dye, Niemann (5)
CB: Zont, Fulton, Ja’Sir, Deane, Hart, Stills (6)
S: DJ, Alohi, JT, Akeem Dent (4)
Special: DICKER THE KICKER, Scott, Harris (3)
One week till the schedule! I hope we open @ Sofi!
On the road on Thu. Night Football against the Chiefs is my bet..
Open at Arrowhead ain’t bad either
@@dontnonowuno9953chiefs won the Super Bowl thus have the opener and always play someone who made it to at least the divisional is the standard. Since they are already slotted as SB champs to play the season opener, they won’t give them 2 thurs night games in a row so if we see the chiefs it’s week 2. Rumor is Baltimore, SF, GB as potential opponents for the thurs opener and prob won’t be in arrowhead
The Chiefs opened against the Lions at home last year..the Lions didn't even make the playoffs the year before??NFL is about money, and the most interesting person this off season is Jim Harbaugh.Probably won't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did
Just because the H.C. didn't take a reciever at 5 dont mean there is not going to throw the ball. It means the other teams D is not going to pin there ears back and not respect the run. Who can complain about that? NO BODY!
If you don’t think Palmer isn’t locked into the roster , you are insane 😂😂
Yeah the Only reason he didn't have as many yards as he could have was because Allen was WR1 and Herbert got hurt
I must be insane, cause if it's even close with him for a spot they will cut him .He's up for a contract next year and they didn't draft him.
Right L take by this dude
MVS is QJ with tread on the tires I wouldn’t want him Boyd and chark were the best fits and we got chark that’s good enough. Ladd chark and Palmer are the top 3 the rest will have to fight for spots
This is going to be a high flying offense. The only difference is that it's going to be a high flying offense with an incredibly efficient run game. You don't bring in Trestman and Brady to pair up with Roman if you're planning on running the ball all the time. Herbert is the best player on offense. One of the fundamental rules of coaching is putting the ball in your best player's hands. Detroit is a run heavy offense and Goff threw it for 4500. Cleveland runs it because wtf are they doing at QB? Their countless starting QBs last year still threw it for over 4k combined. We're much more invested in the pass game for skill players... give the ball to Herbert and support him with ground and pound to open the deep middle to top of the field.
Palmer has learned a lot from Keenan, he would be instrumental in bringing the young guys along.
QJ is gonna figure it out man. Staley was trying to teach a fish to climb a tree man.
I’m going back but the Chargers did invest in the run game with Marion Butts and Natrone Means. When they had La Damion Tomlinson,Ryan Matthew’s and Melvin Gordon they did not have a good offensive line for all about two of those years.
There is good reason why Beathard is in the HOF. He knew how to build a team!
Our BOLT DIRECTOR!..Another good one Sir! Keep up the the great work! BOLT UP.."Stay Frosty"...⚡️⚡️
Even though the Director seemed to be wrong with most of his assessments of the Chargers over the last few seasons & overhyped pretty much every move Telesco made which is ridiculous considering Telesco’s record he’s always entertaining and brings great energy!
@@dandeitch3459 Yeah your on the right path my fellow BOLT Bro but I guess that's why we keep the hopes up and support our BOLT FAM thru it all. Keeping our hopes high and expectations well, you know the rest lol..Nevertheless Cheers to a great season ahead🍻..⚡️⚡️LET'S GO BOLTZ!!⚡️⚡️BOLT UP⚡️⚡️
I love that they are bringing in talent!!
QJ needs to be given every opportunity to get him the ball!!! He was successful in college against top talent. Use him in a similar way until he develops other skill sets. “Keep it simple stupid”
Yup.. coaching was terrible last year, actually for years.Never seem to coach up anyone, use them right, and release good players for bad ones...We finally have a real GM and coach
I agree with this comment to a point...... BUT the offense can not be catered to only 1 player's skill set. He has to step up and get on the same page as everyone else.
@@tucarnal7454 it's not catering ,it's playing to their strengths. Its what all good coaches do.Find what your player is great at and let him excel by putting him in position to succeed
@@tucarnal7454the bottom line is you draft players with certain skill sets and the good coaches lean into their strengths , especially when they are young and talented.Chargers for YEARS have failed to develop players. Chiefs last two years won SBs with like seven or eight first and second year players on defense and a seventh rounder at RB.
I like your roster prediction at the end. My prediction is Trey Pipkins moves to RG. Harbaugh said he's putting his best 5 linemen out & views Pipkins as one of his best 5.
I think it'd come down to chemistry with the OL and I feel like Salyer had better chemistry with him on the line over pipkins
Been watching Pipkins since the draft. They have given him so many chances like he has dirt on someone. Has never been solid and always the weak like. Other defensives know this and target him on getting taken advantage of to kill the play and beat up the QB. Should have been replaced years ago.
PFF since he came into the league.
63.3, 54.8, 68.5, 59.2, 62.8.
Enough said.
@@KalabCoine-kp8es Exactly! He has been below average at best, he has received way too many opportunities and I definitely don´t see him as one of the best 5 OL in the roster. The Michigan guy is way better than him, Salyer too, Zion no doubt is better than Pipkins. I also think Jaimes is bad, as simple as that.
Completely disagree about Corn not making the cut. Has size..speed...hands ..big contested catch rate.. and just happen to be a great run blocker.
Can’t wait to see this plays out. I agree. Only 2 are safe. Ish. Thank you for the great content.
If Cornelius has good Deep ball hands he should make it.
I think the 3 draft picks are all safe tbh. Corn has the size... speed.. hand ...like a 80 percent in contested catch win rate. Rice has the size and hands... Conk will be the go to guy
I keep thinking back to this extraordinary draft. Listening to the Director, hoping the Chargers trade back into the 6th round to grab Brenden Rice. Then it didn't happen! I'm watching the picks creep up into 7th round, my fingers crossed, not really knowing who the Chargers were targeting. Then the picks reach 225. The explosion 💥 of joy from every Charger fan could be heard everywhere!
The way QJ lit up UM a couple of years ago, is the reason why i think Harbaugh keeps QJ.
Like it was mentioned before, i dont think QJ had a fair shot his rookie season.
Bless you
Calling it now!!! Palmer Safe, QJ, Chark, DD Lad and rice. 6 WR because DD will be more Special teams so really only 5 WR
I have a feeling Johnston will make it so 6 WR and DD as a special teamer. However that does seem like a lot of roster spots so you may be right
Brenden Rice was an NFL gift!
Joshua is versatile but seems more as a slot receiver. Ladd is versatile but seems more as an outside receiver. QJ is more slot right now but could grow into an outside. Darius should be used as a runner and deep ball threat.
Justin seems to throw to receivers that have sure hands and receivers that can pin point the ball on elevated throws. Brenden has sure hands! QJ did not have sure hands and was not a jump ball receiver. QJ was open many times and Justin did not throw to him.
I think your right Director.
I think QJ has a good chance of making the team, because he's one of our best blocking WR's.
I want to keep Palmer and QJ but I think QJ has an even better chance to have a longer future in the new system
When you were talking about Chark, I know what you were saying about Lockette. It was Lockette and Baldwin and the next season Lockett and Metcalf. Those Seattle teams, specifically the Superbowl teams with Baldwin and Kearse, are the closest I see to what I think Harbaugh is putting together. Focus on play action and big plays, let the little guys -like Ladd (I think he is like Baldwin- use that low center of gravity to shake, bake, and seperate with the exta moments from the playaction.
I think Rice is going to be a killer. His best skill as a WR is baiting the DB into bad technique at the catch point. Even when he is drapped he gets them out of position with space for a catch.
Harbaugh’s fight club. Result driven.
Totally agree on QJ. Get him a hand off, or short over the middle. Reverse end around. He needs to get his confidence back.
“Pause” 😂😂
I can't believe that we haven't had Simmons in for a talk yet also Gilmore. Can you imagine having those two with James and Alohi!!?? I think Still will be a practice squad guy too.
The only receivers left id really like to have would me MVS, Zay Jones, Michael Thomas, Renfrow, or Russell Gage
I’d prefer Zay Jones and Russell Gage MVS is fast but can’t catch Renfrow is washed and Micheal Thomas is washed
Renfrow would be left. Michael Thomas is too injured and comes with a bad attitude
There will be several WR’s cut later down the line and the Chargers may be better off waiting to find another player.
I think we're forgetting about B. Rice... I have a feeling my boy is going to be really good
At first glance, I thought DD would be safe because of his return ability. They will probably work a couple other receivers into the return game, just to see if they can supplant DD. McConkey and Cornelius can do that...Probably Vidal also.
Hey Fam!!! Director & Mods!
Harbaugh is looking for a type. Chark, Rice, and Johnson are all 6’3 and between 200-210lbs
Hortiz didn’t draft QJ.
@@dandeitch3459think he means Cornelius...our 7th Rounder
@@timnixon112 - my bad!
@@dandeitch3459 all good my dude....so many stars drafted. Easy to ok overlook
I think it's slightly possible that we keep 7 WR'S . Only because I don't think they want Johnson (from UM) on the practice squad and take the chance of losing him to another team. Now if they keep 6 then I'd hate it but I think he'd go to the practice squad.
I hope that there is a WR group by committee!!!! At least 5 and up to 8 receivers. The TE who can be a jump ball and contested catch receiver can be put in the receiver category. Mainly blocking TE are in the Te category.
Not only do you need to get open for Justin to throw to you; you either need to have sure hands or not be QJ.
Ladd McConky is going to be "The Standard" for
WR Chargers Football ⚡⚡⚡⚡
I think QJ is going to get cut ✂️ 🤔
Hopefully. Pointless to waste a roster spot on a receiver who does literally nothing well.
Not happening, why would they cut a former first round pick after only one year, and hoping he gets cut is messed up.
@jorgenavarro4837 Trust, I hope I'm wrong Bro! I hope he could get together. I just have a gut feeling he is.
@@jorgenavarro4837 Because he's awful and having him on the team is a net negative. Camp bodies were playing better than him last year.
How many receivers can we keep on game day roster?!?
I’m in total agreement with you Director of Palmer and Johnson, both veterans really need to step it up big time and hopefully they get it done and make their mark so it’s time to prove their worth so if your in it too win it get it done no time left yea boys Bolt Up ⚡️⚡️ and be strong 💪💪 rock on
Palmer Chark Ladd and QJ are locks..also this is in the order of who’s going to be the most impactful
McConkey is the new Lance Al worth for the Bolts ⚡️⚡️⚡️
12 touchdowns is impressive!! Brenden is reliable!!
Mannn I'm only 5 seconds in, but I hope Jaylen Johnson is in this video lol
EDIT: Yay! Jaylen Johnson got mentioned.
Here's what I think about the wr's. I'm thinking that we're going to bring in at least 1 more veteran wr. Then both Palmer and QJ and I can't remember the other guy we've got that's from last yr, not Davis. Anyway, those 3 are going to either be cut or traded before the end of training camp. Otherwise why, besides Harbaugh wanting more competition, would they bring in more wr's? Idk, but I'm trusting in Jim and Joe to do the right thing.
I see a lot about offense.. How is Defense looking?
Bold perdition, Rice beats out QJ and is the biggest stand out concedering draft position and exspections respectively.
Watch what I say , harbaugh is building a patriotesk version of the chargers
Don’t be surprised if Chargers
have two to 3 deep receivers,
two to 3 jump ball receivers that can handle contested catches , and 2 to 3 intermediate receivers.
Dont get too comfy on this seemingly run "balanced" offense. We have potentially the #1 QB definately top 3. He can take over games when his coach keeps his cabeza out of his culo.
He'll hit 5k and go 40-8 while the top 3 RB's putting about 1800 on the ground.
Competitors welcome! CJ on the practice squad to perfect his route running would be solid.
Director, this is wild: Ourlads 2024 updated Charger depth chart has Quentin Johnston as WR 2 with McConkey listed as the slot guy. To me, Q is WR 3.
WR 4 palmer chark ladd 1 2 3 in that order
@@user-ke3xf1os6e palmer probably be cut..they are not going to pay him a future contract anyways.
@@dontnonowuno9953 that would surprise me only because he’s the only WR Herbert has any trust in
If your pass game isn't a threat. Play action and run game won't be either when they stack the box and LoL @ us when they take a look at our wideout threat. With this slow grind offense he wants to run, better make DAMM sure every possession counts because if it takes us 10 to 15 min to score and they're tieing it up in 2. We have problems
Remember Nanee? Speedy guy
Boldin came from Baltimore yea he was drafted by Arizona
I love your show. HOWEVER, I highly doubt Harbaugh drafted a WR that helped him win a National Title so he could look him in the eye and say, "You're cut." Just seems like an odd choice. Quinton I feel is also a lock because of Harbaugh comments after they drafted Alt. But you are correct, Lotta wildcards here.
We can’t roster 9 o linemen. Jaimes is out. 8 o linemen and 6 wr makes sense and try to keep cornelius or rice on the camp crew.
As for defense, I think Tito is out, prob matlock as well. At LB I think someone’s gone between edge and ILB. Guess (if he’s still with us) is that 4th rounder who would be in his final year who plays edge… name is escaping me. Our current 4th rounder, bosa, fox, mack, tuli, perryman and Colson is our front 7 with prob Troy dye and an undrafted LB make the cut, that leaves secondary which will have to feature both of our 5th round corners as well as Asante and Fulton to round that out and a hybrid camp guy should make the roster who is technically a safety but can play slot as well. So I predict 7 on the back end and 10 up front… maybe matlock makes it? I just know otito is gonna get the axe
Good points
So so glad they didn't waste any trade or capital on MVS. DO NOT NEED HIM.
Move on with the crew we have.
Harbaugh’s Hunger Games!
According to some sources Ladd took 79 to 80 percent off his snaps outside? Is that an X ?
X's are on the line of scrimmage usually getting pressed not just being on the outside your Y is outside but off the line of scrimmage easier to release
If QJ isn’t an X receiver then what is he? He surely isn’t a Y or a Z receiver. I think he’s in over his head to be an X or a Z and I believe he’s a number five receiver that sees little playing time.
1. Palmer 2. McConkey 3. Chark 4. Rice 5. Quentin Johnston 6. ?
I think it’s too early to write him off…. Putting a 7th round WR over a 1st rounder is pretty crazy. I get QJ was ass last year but there’s a chance he develops. Too early to give up on him with the talent we currently have. Now if rice beats him out throughout the year I’m fine with that
@@shooksrule Rice was ranked as a third round receiver and fourth at the latest. He went late because it was such a deep draft for the position. Don’t underestimate Rice who scored twelve touchdowns last season. The problem with playing the Y and Z positions is the two have to have an understanding of routes for both positions and Johnston has trouble with routes and separation.
Totally agree, it's unfortunate and a shit load of us wanted Kincaid when we took his sorry ass at least I did
@@tonycasarrubia1394 being ranked a 3rd or 4th rounder and actually going in the 7th is because teams didn’t want him…. QJ was the 2nd WR taken last year in the draft. It’s QJs job to lose. He has the potential to develop into the player is was drafted to be
Director i have to disagree on the wr thing I think they are trying to replace both Allen & Willams skill set & hopefully have both that play more games together. Everyone knows when those two were on the field together it was unstoppable.
I think Cornelius Johnson makes this team, don't be surprised if he is our new returner. His speed and contested catch % is crazy! DD is a one trick pony, all be it a damn good pony. I think QJ might be the reason they are bringing in all these receivers. If QJ can't get separation in camp and is dropping balls, he could be done. I'm not sure what the analytics are with DD at returner compared to an average one, if it is minimal he will be gone.
With WR rookies having the talent to start expect to have starting capable WR on the practice squad.
It’s common sense that if you have an offensive line that can open up running lanes and give enough time for receivers to get open that the offense can thrive. It’s so obvious and that is why I liked that the Chargers have invested in the line the last 3 to 4 years. The top end talent in the draft is and should pay off. The investment in getting productive vets did not pay off due to the amount of time they missed due to injury. I love that offensive line is a top priority.
There are more starting talent Wide Receivers than Offensive Lineman in the free agent market; especially those who can fit in the Charger’s salary cap.
To me Joe Alt is a bigger piece to offensive production than Ladd McConkey. Herbert cannot get the ball to Ladd if he gets pressured or sacked before Ladd gets open.
*Michael Scott voice* GOD NOOOOOOO GOD NOOO NOO NOOOO GOD NOOOO!!!! ANYONE BUT MVS HE HAS BRICKS FOR HANDS!!! Played with 2 of the best QBs in NFL history and is NOTORIOUS FOR DROPPING PASSES. He can’t catch a cold!
Personally I think we’re keeping Johnson, cutting Johnson, putting Johnson in practice squad, and I’m still iffy about Johnson 🤔.
😂
I really don't undestand you guys LT, O'Neil, Turnner, speoles all played with these Receivers you are talking about they all palyed with gates im pretty sure. They all palyed in a system where Phillip would throw the ball all over the place.
Bye 👋🏾 Josh Palmer 🙏🏾
We got all the Johnson’s ….pause 😅
Freaking Staley and Telesco …screw those guys
Darrion Davis needs to be given more opportunities to receive!!
You see it here first Palmer will be WR 1 for the chargers strong great route running great hands good contested catches charm will be WR2 Ladd will be the slot WR
Drop Spiller for Johnson
How long ago was it that people were bitchin' about no WR's?
I think Sarrell and Jaimes are gone. And the Michigan stud makes the 53.
28:27 I think if we could get QJ head and hands on straight, and I'm very optimistic about Rice and Ladd. We could have the makings of a good core group. QJ has some very good speed and size. He just looks lost out there to me. That and lazy, which scares me because he's learning another new offense AGAIN, which is going to be another setback for him. Hence my outrage about bringing in more scrubs to take needed help and snaps away from QJ and new guys. We need a coach just for QJ to get him up to speed, dedicated just for him. 😄
I'm with you on QJ. He was misused last yr for sure. You know that he worked out with MHJ this off season right? Also did you get a chance to see some of the film of those 2? He looks a LOT better now than he did last year and I think he's got a better chance of making the 53.
I honestly believe qj comes in as wr 1... here's why... 1. Harbaugh loves him.. praised him as he punished Michigan praises him now. He was was just in the wrong system and also the Chargers push it to not let last yrs 1st be a waste. To START He will be wr 1 . Now... the battle is wr 2 Mcconkey is the favorite mid season.. I do believe the vets are coming in to help qj and Lad . Palmer ... is up and down so he will need a huge camp .. if others look better he will be traded for a need . So I believe DJ Chark will be wr2 to START
By week 17
I feel Ladd wr2
Qj wr 2
B Rice wr3
Johnson wr 4
Palmer will be gone by trade deadline ...
All these guys are quick and between 6'2 -6'4 Heaven for a 6'6 qb
Poor Simi Fehoko
Cornelius ran in the 4.3's stud
Do not play QJ based on his height!!!
Scantling screwed Mahomes dropping dimes in crucial moments....

@@YDCFF_ That's definitely true but I just wish all of those problems would've bit the Chiefs in backside during playoffs an again their holding the Lombardi trophy despite all the issues at WR OL because our Bolts unfortunately have paid for all their issues for too many years now an Now Harbaugh needs too change that ⚡⚡⚡⚡
@@eddiesaldana8382 They win in the trenches fren...
Herbert never had Josh as his number 1. Well this year he's going to his because the dude doesn't drop balls. It's really that simple. The addition of lad doesn't change that unless the coaching staff tells Justin to do it. Even with all this new infused Wrs Josh is still the Best.
He's had his chance to be number one when Keenan and Williams both were sidelined He's got good hands but he doesn't separate well,he's a three or four at best
I’d rather have DD then QJ at this moment. At least we know what we have with DD. Receiver screens, jet sweeps and some slot/trick plays can increase DDs value. Getting rid of an all pro rookie would be crazy . Rice will be a dark horse draft steal . The Rice brand on the new era Chargers will be legendary. Qj and MVS can kick rocks.
Your QJ take is probably the worst you’ve had, and crazy you’re assuming his downfall on his second year
Naw Josh Palmer is a lock too. So is Quentin.
They gotta take that #1 Jersey off QJ he's way to trash to run around practice as number 1
What a friggin bone head move IMO. SMH just because you bring in 10 dudes, if none of them are any good it's all for not. The ONE dude that MIGHT have helped we didn't sign and instead went to Tenn. These guys are scrubs and only taking up snaps and space literally
2024 Prediction:
WR 1 - Johnston
WR 2 - McConkey
WR 3 - Chark
WR 4 - Rice
WR 5 - Davis
We went for the quantity over quality with this WR room
