The Bhairavi svarajati, along with the other two swarajatis in Todi and Yadukulakambhoji, is the Crest jewel amongst the creations of Shri Shyama Shastri, the senior most of the illustrious Trinity of Carnatic music. The composition showcases the deeply emotive sahitya in perfect unison with the myriad contours of the grand Raga Bhairavi. This unparalleled composition shines as an exquisite fabric of art designed with the silken swirls of Raga, Tala and Sahitya.
I am French. Songs and Hymns by Uthara Unnikrishnan and her Father have become my favourite music since I discovered them on the internet two years ago. I listen to them almost every day. They give me Peace, Joy and Love of God. Bless India, the cradle of Great Indo-European Civilisation that has spread throughout the world..
It's very heart warming and comforting to know that people from other cultures are able to enjoy and benefit from the serenity and peace Indian Classical Devotional music provides. Nowadays, most of Indian culture has adopted the bombastic modern western style of music. I want to emphasize the word modern here. I'm not saying any music is bad, but most forms of music don't provide the serene and peaceful joy that devotional Indian music provides.

Again i am writing my view on this rendition after listening to almost all eminent singers and artists since last 2days. The soul of this raga perfectly reflected in uttara’s voice.
More over the clarity in voice in lower notes is extraordinary and ease with which she sung is really great and simply superb. Must appreciate recording technicians for great job done. Now onwards uttara’s performance will be reviewed with respect to this song as bench mark song in her career as an artist. The special attention given in clear pronunciation is remarkable.
This is not an easy song to record and this child at this age created wonder as maata Kamakshi chosen Uttara’s voice. Great song. Keep going my child. Saraswathi anugraha praptirastu.

i recently learnt this swarajathi under the guidance of my guru, the sheer amount of vocal training and techniques required to hit those lower octave notes perfectly is a lot. very very very impressive job by uttara, listening to this gem on repeat
In future Carnatic music will have a super singer in this young girl . She has a wonderful voice at par with Bombay Jayasree. I am happy has produced this highly talented girl on the pedestal of Carnatic music. This is just a beginning, we will find the geniuses of this young star in Carnatic podium. God bless this child.

Bhairavi raga swarajathi, this is the first time I am hearing . Very very good singing by Uththara. I see goddess Saraswati through her singing. Very divine. Sri Kanchi Kamakshmi arul will always be there with this child. Clarity in words and voice. Bhairavi at best. Very tough composition by Sri Shyama Sastry with a lot of twisting of difficult words, in a low tempo. I listened to MSS amma's version a long time ago.
