Thanks so much for this. My dentist never mentioned the bite ramps. I was incredibly upset by them when they popped up on aligner 15 of 18. What a nasty surprise. They are HORRIBLE. 28 days and counting and I am miserable. Invisalign works but I’ve hated every single day of it.
@@Straightsmilesolutions To me they are. I feel every tiny little thing and my mouth is too small for my teeth to start with, so these feel like I’m wearing a full mouth guard locking my whole mouth down. I find them so distracting it’s driving me nuts. But what I really object to is not bring informed ahead of time. 27 days and counting. It can’t be over fast enough.
@@GayleFalkenthal I have the bite ramps too and find them super annoying. I am a jaw clencher and have had TMJ issues in the past, so I guess it's good to hear that they'll help. I find myself just clenching on the ramp though. It seems all my trays will have them, too. :(
@@GayleFalkenthal I understand what you are saying, I’m sorry but most of f*ckin orthos don’t tell you everything bc of the money; they just care about people’s money, they’re unethical.
I have bite ramps starting on tray 3 ( switch to tray 2 tomorrow evening). I have power ridges on both upper and lowers and it hasn’t bothered me at all. So fingers crossed on the bite ramp.
Hi! Thanks for the video. Have you ever come across somebody using a power ridge on a tooth that has an attachment? I have power ridges on my upper lateral incisors and one central incisor. The lateral incisors have attachments on them and the tray is now smooth where the old ones had a “pocket” for the attachment. The tray barely goes over the attachment and the power ridge does not touch the tooth at all. I already brought it up to my ortho who saw me for a minute and said it was fine but I am starting to question his judgement.

Wow...are they really that bad?

Can you wear the aligners backwards if you don’t like the results?
You mean like wear it backwards down the sequence? Sure, I guess as long as your doc is supervising you. Or- just stop wearing your retainers.
🙏🙏🙏 thank you! Great video!!!
MAHALO!

I have quite often and there's no issue. Perhaps you have a manufacturing defect? Show your doc and ask for a refinement
