Thanks, Prabh, your explanation is very clear and I also learned something new... I hadn't heard the two categories of Cryptography namely modern and classical before!
Coming to RSA Vs ECC
ECC keys are smaller than RSA keys and can be computed considerably faster. To give you a rough idea of how big a difference this is, a 256 bit ECC public key is said to provide security equivalent to a 3072 bit RSA public key.
Thanks Prabh :D
AES is Advanced Encryption Standard. Is based on 128 bit, 192 bit or 256 bit key length. It is byte-oriented. Is much faster than DES. The Structure is based on Subsitition-permutation network. The design rationale is open to public. The rounds are based on byte subsitution, mix column, shift row and key addition. No known attacks against AES.
DES stands for Data Encryption Standard. The key length is 56 bit. It is bit- oriented. The Structure is based on Fiestal network. And it involves 16 rounds of identical operations. The design rationale is closed for DES. DES can be broken easily and has known vulnerabilities like brute force attack, linear and differential crypt analysis. The rounds are based on Expansion, XOR operation based on round key, subsitution and permutation. Is less secure than AES. Is slower than AES.
Very useful. Thank you
I like asymmetric cryptography ..
Video explain very simple way to understand cryptography. I would like to join your CISSP class
RSA vs ECC
RSA stands for Rivest-Shamir-Adleman and is based on prime factorization method and can process 450 requests per second at 150 millisecond speed. It is much faster due to its simplicity. But requires larger Key lengths to implement Encryption. RSA has been found vulnerable as it is 99.8% effective.
ECC stands for Elliptical Curve Cryptography and is based on algebraic Structure of Elliptical curve. Runs slower than RSA due its complexity in nature. ECC is much more secure and requires much more shorter keys to encrypt
Nice explanation sir. Do more on cryptography
Best video I have watched on cryptography. Thanks Prabh.
AES is Byte-Oriented and Key length can be 128-bits, 192-bits, and 256-bits.
DES is Bit -Oriented and The key length is 56 bits.
Nice!
Great video on Cryptography.
Awesome Prabh. Best video on cryptography was very easy to understand
Thank You, Prabh. This video gives a more clear explanation of cryptography.
Very well explained
Thank you Prabh for this amazing explanation ❤
Great Prabh.. you are seriously Gem..
Awesome
Thanks prabh, all doubts cleared.
Thank you Prabh, your videos are simply awesome. The way explain things is quite impressive.Very easily understandable. Could you please make a video on access mgmt/IAM..
thanq so much sir
