      @@NumberNinjaDave it's pretty good until like 0.3, so 0.295. At 0.4 it's off by 3%, and by 0.7 it's close to being off by 10%. So it depends how important your calculations are really.

    I misunderstood the thumbnail. I thought you were trying to solve for sinx = x, which is obviously x=0. I didn't realize you were trying to prove that sin x = x is a good approximation.

      I struggled with this thumbnail. I wanted to show the Taylor notation but it was looking cluttered. Thanks for bringing that up as I knew it would possibly be confusing

    You know what freaks me out? if you put pi into the Taylor Series, you get 0. Just think about that: a polynomial made of a transcendental number raised to various powers, ends up equaling exactly 0. It's just plain nuts.
