Not only west Bengal. But Durga Puja also celebrate in our Bangladesh. In Durga Puja, many songs are played with loud speaker in temple. I can listen this song free from my house. Many Hindu friends invite me in their house. Sometimes I went to temple to see this puja. Really, the celebration is fantastic. I'm lucky that I'm Bengali

Actually we Mumbaikars can relate these things to a great extend with the Ganeshotsav in Mumbai.
Same type of Shopping and preparations before Ganeshotsav, same number of days (10days) the same lengthy lines for Bappa's darshan 😂😂😂And the emotional good bye on Bappa's visarjan day😢and the same line"Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar ya" (Come Fast next year) .

As a bengali person, I always imagined that the closest alternative phenomenon that we bengalis could have to durga puja, would be ganeshutsav. Never been to Mumbai during ganeshutsav( because I would rather be in bengal during that time ). But I've seen videos and movies portraying ganeshutsav and it just looked so similar! Glad something like this exists.

I spent one year in Assam during puja. Well as compared to other states, the celebrations are quite high but in no comparison to west bengal's puja. Puja here is at a different level, out of the world.

I'm from Maharashtra (Pune) and I can tell most of punekars and mumbaikars definitely related it with Ganesh Utsav🤩😍like everything was relatable the celebration, the decorations for awareness, the big crowds, how u become emotional while saying bye to bappa telling him to come earlier next year (pudhcya varshi lavkar ya)🥺💖and not to forget the Prasad of modak🤤...here in Pune Mumbai we celebrate Ganesh Utsav with same enthusiasm as the durga puja🎊
It would be great experience for me if someday I can visit Mumbai at the time of Ganesh Utsav. Though here also we celebrate ganesh utsav in west bengal but not at the scale of Maharashtra. Here we celebrate only for 2 days. Because after some day Durga puja comes, so all pandals gets ready for Durga puja.
