I'm 12 weeks 4 days . I can't wait till second trimester. My morning sickness isn't as bad as from the beginning. But still here. I can't go poop either lol so I have to take meds my doc gave me. I get to find out the gender this week. I took blood test last Thursday. So any day now . My face also broke out. I'm More emotional than ever too. I miscarried 2 years ago. So this is my rainbow baby .
If you are having a baby shower you don't need to buy much or anything until after the shower. You never know exactly what people get. Also you do laundry constantly anyways so you don't need as much as you think.
I'm a FTM too but one tip I've heard with creating baby registries is to not put anything on there that you won't be using within the first few months. Like at the very most up to 6 months. So don't list a high chair, eating utensils, baby shoes, bigger clothes, etc. Also don't put a bunch of bottles on there since you don't know what baby will like, and don't put down a bunch of clothes because people love to buy clothes whether they're on the registry or not. ALSO I was told to not put diapers on your registry because again, you don't know which ones will work best for your baby AND you don't know exactly how big your baby will be at birth. You don't want a bunch of newborn size diapers that won't get used up if you have a big baby! Instead, do a diaper fund so people can give you money for diapers and then you can buy as you need and try different brands. That's what we've done and I've tried to stick to practical things on the registry like white onesies, nursing gear like the Boppy pillow, burp cloths, bassinet and crib sheets, and health-related things (health safety kit, booger sucker, thermometer, etc.). Creating a registry is so fun!! :)
Sometimes you can exchange the diapers for larger sizes at major retailers like Target, Walmart etc. You can also politely ask for a gift receipt on you baby shower invite or on the registry itself if you are worried about getting the wrong brand or size! Lots of people will give diapers and wipes regardless of it being on your registry or not. So don’t sweat it too much and have fun with it!
I actually got a ton of stuff and diapers of all sizes, and spoons, clip on high chair, etc. and it has saved us money! We didnt have to buy diapers for the first 4 months or so and when we suddenly realized he should be in the next size up, we had a box ready in the closet. I loved not having to think about buying stuff especially during me and my husbands "off" season (winter and spring). Our house is small (1 level 800 sq. Ft. and no basement) so we had to store a few things for a few months but it was no big deal.

I am 10 Weeks now and for the last week have been suffering from an insane rash on my neck, the Doc said it is because your immune system is lowered during pregnancy (so your body doesn't see the fetus as a bug or virus that it needs to fight, that is the reason why it takes longer to heal essentially.
Short swing...used to call table top swing. Not sure if you have upstairs versus downstairs but with my second child we had 2 pack n plays and it made life so much easier!!!

Sorry for your loss! It took be 4 years to get pregnant but as soon as I got pregnant I couldn’t stop getting pregnant and now I’m pregnant with baby #6! That was 8 years ago! God blesses all of us in very different ways but it always turns out the right way! I’ll be praying for you!

Boppy pillows and mattress protector for your little mans crib. Never too early to stock up on diapers either. Target always has coupons on their app. Sometimes they have gift card promotions when you buy a couple boxes as well. Congratulations!
I second the mattress protector. I actually got 2 of them and I layer them on in case my little guy has a blowout or throws up at night. Mattress cover -> sheet - > another mattress cover -> sheet. All we have to do is my husband cleans him up, I take off the first layer and throw it in the washer, and we can lay him right back down. No drama.
