My friends and I made the climb in 1982. The campground, bathrooms, etc... were not there. The view from the top was amazing! When you realize the Irrigation systems take care of 50 acres for each one you gain a new perspective.
The main part coming back that was hard was the rope section. But that also was simply because I had a dog. The ridge was for sure the toughest part and then it's more just steep. I would say I'm not great with scrambles and I was still able to do it but tougher than I thought!
Amazing you made it with Thor. What a cute pup !
Do you need hiking walking sticks?
Not mandatory at all!

It was amazing!
This reminds me of Mt. Tallac here in South Lake Tahoe, CA, day in some spots but getting halfway up it gets a little tougher
How much scrambling experience would you recommend before going for this?? And how difficult was the way down compared to the way up?
