I really recommend reading Crooked Kingdom, it takes a different turn on the story and focuses on the characters and their pasts and it is just so emotional. I think it is worth a try
You should read “One Of Us Is Lying” I really loved the storylines. There is also a little bit of romance. It is a great book and a TikTok famous book too. Really recommend it!

Honestly Haley I feel like the whole "obsession" thing you go through could BE your video niche! It would be super cool to see someone go full-send into hobbies for a few months and see what they get out of it. It would also keep videos fresh and interesting because the content changes every once and a while. I've been watching you for a while and I know you get a lot of criticism about how often you change what you're into, but I honestly think it could be something you capitalize on. Gotta use it as a strength! Almost would remind me of Ryan's videos but from a "chiller" hobby standpoint.

i’m not sure if you would be interested in this series but the “Red Rising” series are really good! it was originally a trilogy, but the author decided to continue the series, so there’s five books so far but he’s working on the sixth.

I’m a huge fan of Red Rising. But I doubt Haley would be comfortable with all the explicit gore and violence that the series (and especially the last two books) has to offer. I may be wrong, and I hope I am, but I drew my conclusions based on her last two book videos where she mostly talks about more light-hearted reads.

Shadow and Bone is super good it's the first trilogy in the same world as Six of Crows and it's pretty fast-paced and stuff is explained more so it helps Six of Crows make more sense. Also it's a Netflix show so that's some motivation to read it :)

You NEED to read the Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis!! Its basically a conversation in letters between one of the devil’s angels (Uncle Screwtape) and his nephew (Wormwood) who is tempting his first human. Screwtape is helping Wormwood prey on his first human and giving him tactics. I don’t know if that makes any sense, but it’s a must read!!
omg, “a grief observed” is another good book by him. i love his christ centered books (don’t get me wrong, narnia is great), and a grief observed really changed my perspective on like…everything. it’s really sad though, so i don’t recommend if you cry easily.

a good series I have read that's a fantasy romance, is "An Ember in the Ashes". it's by Sabaa Tahir and has four books to the series. the second one called, "A Torch Against the Night", the third "A Reaper at the Gates", and the fourth "A Sky Beyond the Storm". you see the main characters point of views throughout the books and I thought they were sooooo good.

haley, read the A Court of Thornes and Roses series! It's a fantasy series, and every book is such a fast read. If you want to get into fantasy, that's the series for you!

i thought the title "in 27 days" was familiar, so i looked it up and gaspGASP -- the author actually published the book! i read it on wattpad AGES ago and remember adding it to my 'favorites' reading list (i took my favorites reading list _very_ seriously). i feel so proud & happy for HonorintheRain rn

I have a book recommendation! it’s called “me vs me” by Sarah mlynowski. Super random book it’s like y/a romance and i remember really liking it when i was 14, so hopefully it still holds up if you choose to read it! Also I’m reading “they wish they were us” by Jessica Goodman, and i really like it so far. The best way i can describe it is a y/a murder mystery? I think you’d might like it!

I alwayss highly recommend "a thousand splendid suns" by khaled hosseini, I absolutely love his writing, and he has other books but this one is definitely my favourite so far, it made me feel like every possible feeling and is just so beautiful...

I wholeheartedly recommend Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys! It’s written so beautifully from the perspectives of four major characters. Kinda heart-wrenching but the lessons taught are incredible :)

HALEY you NEED to read “A Voice in the Wind” by Francine rivers!! i usually hate reading and my brother has dyslexia and we both absolutely LOVED it! The storyline is just ugh muah and it really convicts you and even if you aren’t christian it’s such a good romance novel and it just so amazing and is definitely my favorite book be ever read period.
Maybe you’ve read them already, but since you’ve enjoyed CS Lewis books and fantasy, definitely read the Chronicles of Narnia series! The Hercule Poirot mysteries by Agatha Christie are really good as well, a classic one is Murder on the Orient Express.

You should read Dial A for Aunties, I think you'd love it. It's part comedy, part murder, and part romance.
Also Six of Crows probably would have made more sense to you if you read Shadow and Bone first. It really explains the world.

Im not a huge book reader but this year I wanted to try to read alot, i read 4 books in January tried to read 2 books in Feb and couldn't get into either so i gave up 😭😭 idk how people can read so many books in short time.
For me the key was to read what I found interesting. I never finish a book if I’m bored when I’m reading it. So I would just find a book that you think you’d really like.

I think the fact they have chosen reading to be trendy on TikTok is really good, it’s better than silly dances and stupid challenges, it’s encouraging people to read instead on suit on their phones.
