Matrix units don't have the ability to send commands to your media sources to control them, like changing the channel. However, our matrix will pass IR commands from your remote control to your media sources, and we include all the necessary IR cables to do this. So, if you're sitting in your living room watching Apple TV, you can pick up your Apple TV remote and point it at the TV. The matrix will take the IR commands and send them to your Apple TV, even if you're sitting 230 feet away
