Hello Kerry 👋 Slice a piece of the fish off and air fry it for about 2 minutes. I've been doing it for some time. It returns the batter to perfection 👍👍 My chips are concrete after less than a minute if I air fry them. Too high a temperature!
There was a chippy near where I lived 20 years ago and one portion of chips was about 5 portions from other chippies so people that wanted two or more fish used to buy one portion of fish and chips and the number of fish they wanted then divide the chips between all the people who wanted fish and chips. The chips were about 20p dearer than other chippies so I believe that is why you got such a large portion of chips.
5mins each side in the air-fryer gets the fish perfectly crispy again. I can never eat more than half a serve so I save the other half for the next day and heat it up in the air-fryer. It’s just like it was straight out of the fryer.
Hi Kerry, just found your new channel and subscribed. The fish and chips look nice and you get plenty. They look nicer than my local fish shop. When I do my own mushy peas i add salt, pepper, vinegar and a bit of sugar. I don't like skin on fish

Growing up every chippy sold haddock with the skin on. I think it’s full of flavour and I feel disappointed if I get haddock without it 😂

Hi Kerry, Linda here , making my mouth water and I’m waiting for my jacket potatoes, but now every time I take a bite of them I’ll think I’m eating fish n chips 😂. I couldn’t just have 10 bites I’d finish the lot. I love salad cream with most things but brown sauce for chips and tartare sauce with fish. I love mushy peas and curry sauce . Thanks for this video I must admit I prefer haddock than cod ❤😊

Hi Kerry, they looked good, sure I could smell them. Personally I don't like skin on fish but that curry sauce would have made up for it😋 You can keep the mushy peas😱 Our local does a senior, we always ask for 2 wrinklys. You get a good portion, always cooked fresh, so nice and hot. Plus a great curry sauce😁 I bet your lads enjoyed it. Do they prefer the peas or curry sauce? See you next time, byee 👋Jen 💕😘xx
Good evening, Kerry. Oh, nothing beats a good fish n chips. I don't like mushy peas either, I remember my gran making them, boiling the peas and loads of vinegar 🤦♀️. I only have plenty of salt & vinegar on my fish and chips if I get them from a chippy but when I make it at home, I like mayo or salad cream. Hiya Jacs👋😀💕I'm pretty sure Gran used to have tinned co-op mushy peas, what I really remember is mince n tatties with brown sauce. Simple and flipping delicious, gran cooked that mince within an inch of its life thou🤣. Once gran asked me if i would like tongue with my going home sarnies - ewww no thanks granny!🤢🤢🤢😂
@10bites I have a co-op round the corner from my house, I will have a look and see if they have mushy please 🤢🤢. If I have mince n tatties I have brown sauce on it has to be hp (that's one of the only things I'm fussy about) it was my Gran that got me into having that too. That's so funny considering they didn't live far from each other to start with. Haha my Gran also always every Saturday when we went into town bought a quarter of tongue from the Butchers and potted hough also (I did like that but don't know if I could eat it now) and my other granny always bought cod roe. Oh Kerry your driving me mad for Fish and chips now I just had Hola hoops on toast so boring compared to your tea . The skins not left on up here in the north we get ours in a cardboard box so the batter is still crispy and for me tomatoe sauce with mine. 🌹🐈Xxxx
Aww Rosa🥰 a cardboard box would help, minexwas tightly wrapped in paper. Hmmm I will have to check out other local fish n chip shops😄😋😋😋
