As a driver in Australia, it's the Eaton Fuller for me every time. Especially when i hit the open roads. I've just stepped out of a Kenworth 900 series. Great truck in the rural roads, but a bit of a pain in the city traffic. Great video mate. 👍👍
Those were some fun dump truck excursions. Thanks for the ride along ! 👍 My choice is always for comfort so I have to go with AC and cruise control. 😉😏
When I was younger, no doubt I'd want to drive the Sterling. Now that I'm old, give me the International, with automatic, cruise, and AC. Nice comparison though Tyson. Enjoyed it.
Sterling are comfortable trucks, mine had a 435hp Mercedes with a 13 and she pulled pretty good. my worst trucks respectively were an International cabover with a detroit and 10 spd and a CL 600 mack with a little gutless 350 hp motor and a 10 spd. Im driving 25 years and my current POS is a Freightliner cascadia daycab with a DD15 and a 12 spd auto shift and it's a piece of crap
We have a new Mack Granite with a MP8 505hp with the M Drive 14 speed. It runs great, all the power of a manual with the convenience of an automatic. Other guys run the same truck with an Allison transmission and they do work better onsite hauling and acceleration is better loader or empty. The M Drive does better loaded on the highway and does significantly better on fuel mileage.
I got a 2023 Mack granite with the mp7 Allison 4500rds. Truck gets 5.8mpg average. I hate damn Mack and want a western star. Paid 230k for it brand new last year couldn’t pass up a tri axle and extended warranty. Otherwise would have been last choice
Loved the ride along in both trucks! While I love Eaton Fuller, I'd have to go with Allison on this one, especially since it's behind the ISM, one of my favorite engines! I love how the 7600 has the 4500 RDS, one of my favorite Allison transmissions! Can you please do a super long uncut ASMR ride along on the 7600? Please make sure to begin the ASMR with engine start up, with both empty and loaded driving, dumping off, city driving, runs through the gears, highway driving, and end with engine shutdown. I'd like the ASMR to be as long as possible, so I can listen to it and fall asleep to that amazing ISM sound and the Allison running up and down through the gears! Please let me know what you can do ASAP, and looking forward to the next one! Keep on truckin'!
Hey brother, just checking in. Were you able to do my requested ASMR on the 7600? If so, when will it be up? I'm looking forward to it! Please let me know ASAP.
The 6spd Allison transmission are pretty good. It's a love hate with them they do rob power. Once the transmission learns your driving habits its good. They get into hunting for gears which drives me nuts. The 8LL transmission has wide gaps between the gears. Took me a while to get used to the 8LL in the 1990 T450 Kenworth. I've driven 8,13,15 and 18spds. I drove a Sterling with a 15spd behind a 450 Mercedes for 5.5-6 years I liked the 15. Having 90 PSI on airliner suspension in the Sterling you'd have easy 14.5 15 metric tons in the box. The tare on the Sterling must be 11,000 something. My Kenworth is 11,300kg. The jake brakes on the Cat engines are not known for being strong. Cats are known for pulling better at low rpm. I'd get my boss to buy me a Sterling to replace my 2 million plus Kilometer Kenworth. It's getting hard to get parts for Sterling trucks. Old Kenworths have grown on me. The 07 T800 we have it's a nice truck, it sure in the hell doesn't turn sharp.

Always loved standard Trucks

Good job and video Brother. Both are good motors and the Allison is a good transmission. Take it easy with your, don’t over do it.

That steering wheel angle was giving me anxiety 😂
Can hear that flap swinging in the wind from Massachusetts
Hello my friend, the trucks are amazing, great video as always, have a great weekend, 😄👍🌹
On cat engines on the valve cover it should have a label with hp and torque if not what is the engine serial number i can look it up
That Stirling is one beaten up old dog of a truck. But still running fine.
Hard to beat a sterling
The power rating is on the valve cover. 410hp at 58000lb is a dog. Hell 410hp in a 42000lb highway coach with an Allison is a dog.
hi the places you show on your channel i know then very well
