This was the first Rated "R" movie I watched as a kid. I loved this movie!!
This movie is a relic of an age where creativity pushed the boundaries in cinema to achieve outstanding landmark results, like terminator 2, delta force, under siege, time cop, robocop and of course universal soldiers, thank goodness for people like Nolan ,and denis who has revitalize that vision once more

LionHeart, The Quest, Timecop, Kickboxer, Double Impact. Jean-Claude has some great films. What a legend! And so is Dolph. When it comes to Dolph's characters, Sgt. Andrew Scott is definitely my favorite.
Van Damme for me was the best action hero of the 80's/90's. Sure all the other actors such as Stallone, Norris, Arnold were up there but Van Damme to me was such a badass. I think it was the moment I watched Bloodsport that made me such a huge fan of his films.

One if my favorite movies when I was a kid
Van dammes character is coming to terms with getting memories. While lungren kept his character stuck in the same protocols and conversations of the past which later became him realising almost immortal. I like how they both gave there characters alot of personality.
The final fight teaches us that the villain should always kill the hostage before taking on the hero.

Every movie I the 90s had that one protagonist that for some reason always knew how to operate a big construction crane, and the standing in a line shooting everything up with over 100k rounds

Without a doubt, the greatest scene in this movie is near the end when Van Damme hits Lundgren and Lundgren says, like a lunatic "WELL, THAT'S THE SPIRIT, SOLDIER!!!"
Those guys in the diner were not really bad guys. One was defending his business while the others were likely defending their friends. It seems like in the 90's protag robots would go around kicking the shit out of a lot of people who were just living their lives.

i feel like its perhaps a little better than terminator 2 ...terminator 2 is a good film with great action and effects but i feel like the pacing is a little off and the music doesnt go with the action most of the time and except for the main soundtrack ofcourse

this movie was one of my favorites and the dinner part was the best for me also thye final part when he gets the injection to increase his strengh and beats the crap out of the crazy sargent ,great movie and his uniform and hair cut JCVD looked cool as hell

I came here after just seeing this movie for the first time. The end was a bit predictable and disappointing, but the action was really cool. Dolph played a really good sadistic bad guy.

The Diner scene proves to me that Van Dam could have been a bad ass Martial Arts Terminator.
I get he kinda is in this movie but I mean a legit T film. Have Cameron from 84 direct him like he did Arnie. Make him a 900 series, a bit smaller, quicker and angle than the 800 but still have an endoskeleton. Would make sense to follow that with the 1000 series.
