In this video, we left the town of Banjar and went to a small traditional Hiachali village of Laida. We had visited Himachal Pradesh in the peak of summer and this village was a good respite from the heat. Before moving there, we had stayed in Banjar for a few days and explored the town and the areas around the Tirthan river. We went to a nearby cafe on the river and almost bought a plot of land! Later we took a cab to village Laida and absolutely fell in love with it. I hope you enjoy our little family adventure from a day in our lives in Himachal :)

Omggggg Johanna!!! I'm a himachali and I have ( unfortunately) never been to or heard of these beautiful locations . I think a (longgg) drive to banjar just for the riverside café and laida village would be totally worth it. Mummi is looking younger and cuter with every new vlog. I think India suits her💕. She deserves a pat on the back for being such a good sport and bravely navigating her way through the steep slopes and climbs💪 it's hilarious how Annika finds a broom to play with everywhere...glad she's so dedicated to keeping the environment clean😍. I hope and pray your dream of owning and running a homestay comes true. I will definitely be visiting regularly ❤️🤗
Mummi is (was) also just so happy to be with Annika and spend time alone with her! 🥰 which part of himachal are you from? That region is just sooo full of beautiful places so it’d be hard to know all of them! Unfortunately we found out outsiders can’t buy property in himachal, so we can’t own one of those 😞

So amazing the riverside location with interesting homestays in every crag n nook of the hills, a cafe 👍🏻...plus trails going off into the forests yippee! Great plan Johanna! explore a bit more bf u decide but this plan sounds fantastic! Something I wud hv personally love to hv done in my younger years.

Another beautiful vlog with amazing views. Don't know where your Mum gets all her energy from. She never complains and just goes with the flow. Annika is adorable as always and very much wants to be one of the grown ups and seems to just love being part of it all. 😊🌷
Oh she had moments of exhaustion too as she wasn’t sleeping well, but of course there’s also a big surge of adrenaline and curiosity while exploring things completely new to her 😊 just like Annika!

OMMGGGG! Laida is sooo beautttifuuul. With Annika around, everything is in her favor, trees, bees, fruits all have conspired to make her happy. Little Annika and her grandma will have lovely memories of each other. Annika isnt a fussy eater. She seems to relish fruits a lot. The most beautiful part was your mom feet in cold water. Must be reminded her of Finland.
Annika has a little bit of a sweet tooth, so she loves any sweet fruits - especially bananas 😊 That’s how she got used to spending time alone with mummi/my mom too, mummi was giving her bananas!
😆 . Do you get bananas in Finland ? Must be expensive

Annika is learning a lot. She's going to be an intellectual, definitely. And I like the part where she tripped over your steps, Johanna. And her cute little steps with her little legs. It's so cute 😍😍. No worries. It's just part of growing. She's a very strong character, actually.
Harmless little bump, but those cant be avoided especially at her speed of movement 😅 we want to encourage her to run, move and roam around so bumps and bruises cant be entirely avoided 😊
Our India is an eye opener for all those who have narrow views about things beyond the borders of US and Europe

P.S : People outside of the state aren't allowed to buy land in Himachal. There are ways, but they are complicated. You can lease it for a longer period. All the best with the property hunting! Let me know if you need any help here. ( AND NO I'M NOT A MIDDLE MAN.. LOL) :)
We’re definitely going to be visiting himachal in the future too, just perhaps not anytime soon 😊🙏 and yes we found out about this outsiders rule later and unfortunately a lease is not a good option for us at this point in life ☹️

My sister has seen many of my older photos and videos from travelling all over India, also himachal, so she knows about the diverse and natural beauty in India too 😊 and of course we have lots of documentaries, shows etc about India or Himalayas in Finland too! You should also visit the upper himachal you'll see alpine forests grasslands snowfall and basically everything you see in the Switzerland
We’ve been to manali and Spiti lahaul before and still want to visit many places in the future when travelling is easier with Annika growing up 😊

I think it's understandable to limit the access to buying land for locals or citizens. Even in EU, I think it's only easier for citizens from other EU countries :) But you're definitely right that it'd be great to be able to do that,!

Johanna madam, I think you should have visited more mainstream Sainj Valley which is near about at same distance from Atal tunnel but on different side and also has Zostel apart from more facilities from foreigners point of view, specially given your mother knee situation after operations, considering geography of these valleys. Agreed the two valleys have different vibes, one being natural rustic other being more developed and tourist friendly and you want to explore the former one. But still you should have considered it given your mother accompanying you and not to mentioned price of stay in such hostel, homestay is almost same despite having less facilities and difficult environment in Tirthan valley
