    Any coilover..any.. just dont pick stiff spring rates!
    Roughly 6k front and 5k rear spring rates...is about right average for subaru road setup...
    Recommended 5k front spring, 4k rear springs...
    Super good on the road, when on track just stiffen them up using click setting...
    Im running cusco zero 3S dampers all around...
    this damper were super short stroke with just 65mm travel before touching progressive bumpstop... And 11k front spring,10k rear spring which meant for semi slick soft compound track tyre
    2modification ive made on the dampers:
    1-shorten the progressive bumpstop to gain more strut travel from 65mm to 90mm overall more suited for bumpy street road surface
    2-swap to softer springs 5k front and 4k rear...
    With many experience with jdm impreza sti of all years...my forester ride smooth only slightly firmer than any stock sti (not harsh) due to high damping rate
    Then..the front camber plate ive rotated them to be 100% caster plate..
    increasing caster from stock +4.5degree to now +6degree
    Honestly..caster increase modification often overlooked by many especially in subaru cars mainly... Which of combats understeery nature of the subaru in corner entry...
    I hope u give the caster mod a try yourself and review them in future video...
    If u dont really like pillowball type camber plate, whiteline does have "caster C strut mount" made from rubber oem-like material but with caster design... Have a try on that...
    ---------------
    Combined with 22mm cusco front swaybar, whiteline 23mm rear swaybar both with solid swaybar links...
    Perfect daily driven,B road bashers and tracks/autocross setup... Just need swapping tyres and brakepads to fit the occasio

      Great advice 👌 The Pedders have combined camber and caster top mounts which I forgot to feature in the video.. A great addition imo as you rightly say castor is often overlooked 👍

      But only with all season tyre and street brakepad...
      Not going to do any time attack...just to have a leisire drive and maybe a few fast lap just to see how well the car (relatively) new suspension setup in the track

    I planned on putting pedders on my gc8 for some time , but an irresistible deal came up for a set of kyb agx (adjustable shocks) with eibach springs & STI group n top mounts ... cheaper than pedders so an exceptional price ! And pre-assembled so exactly as easy as fitting pedders sportsryder easy fit.
    I've also got in my parts stash to accompany the kyb eibach whiteline (wl) 22mm front (f) arb & wl 24 mm rear (r) arb with adjustable f wl droplinks & wl heavy duty r droplinks + wl heavy duty mounts + wl f&r lateral locks , & wl adjustable lateral arms & wl anti lift kit & wl roll centre bump steer correction kit.... + a load of wl polyurethane bushes & STI pink trailing arms (Pillowball jointed)..... aaaand breathe 😅.
    And to complement the suspension ive gone with cusco front & rear strut braces & a cusco rear triangle brace in an attempt to stiffen things up a little .
    All due to be fitted as soon as I have a paved area to jack the car & leave it on axel stands for the installation period.
    So fingers crossed 🤞 should be a good setup for spirited driving .
    I do have friends whom have a fozzy (forester) also black like yours & they went with pedders & said they are really good, so another thumbs up for pedders on a fozzy .
    We live in northern Ireland & the roads up here are similar to roads found throughout GB , obviously we do some driving in the Republic of Ireland too where many say the roads are shocking however ive not found any ive driven to be any worse than in the North (although some of the junctions are a little scary with no right of way preference. )

    I recently put Whiteline ARBs and drop links on my FSTI. I also put BC racing coilovers on it, because the Tein that were on there when I bought it were knackered. The BC are a huge improvment over the Teins, but I dont know if that is because the Tein were just old and crap when I bought the car. The car is much more comfortable now, and handles a lot better, but I should probably have gone with the Pedders as its my daily. I wanted OEM suspension, but the only ones I could find were rusty!

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think teins are oversprung personally so even in good condition they would be too hard or bouncy.
      I can thoroughly recommend Pedders 👍

    I daily my car impreza sti, I also planned to do some trackdays. Cost of everything has put that on hold for now. Driving B roads spiritedly is a good alternative though.
    I got the usual knock on the rear shocks, so did my research online and decided to get a set of meister r gt1 coilovers (got a great deal), paired with 22mm (i think) whiteline antirollbars with heavy duty adjustable droplinks.
    Using the car daily on our crap roads is not to bad. The ride is firm but not much different to stock sti suspension (in my opiniin), I run the coilovers on the soft side.
    Got all the alignment set up once installed and been on the car 5plus years now. I love how it drives and feels on the road. 🏎
    A friend who had a focus st on coilovers, had a passenger ride in my car. Asked me about the suspension, he thought it was stock and was suprised when i said coilovers.
    I did consider pedders at the time, i think there was a long lead time for parts when i was ready to order.
    But each to their own, makes the car scene intersting and unique. Would be very dull and boring if everybody done the same thing.
    Keep up with the videos 👍, great variety of content and very informative.

    That looks like a good set-up for the UK roads. I run HKS coilovers on my '05 WRX wagon daily driver but I'm based in Japan, where the roads are generally in better condition than the UK - horses for courses and all that. Pleased to see you went for larger, 22mm sway bars/anti-roll bars as that's just the upgrade I'm going for albeit from Cusco rather than Whiteline. Did you uprate the end links as well?

    Its a shame the KYB AGX are no longer made, as they were superb value, even when factoring in a spring/top mount kit. The only issue I've seen with the Pedders is lifespan, but compared to what a set of BC's look/feel like after 5 years, theyre in a completely different league lol. Like you say, in terms of value for money vs ride quality etc they are VERY hard to beat, especially for the average Impreza/Foz owner that isn't going to threaten the Time Attack leaderboards.

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      22mm is perfect. 24mm tends to make the car jiggle side to side too much on uk roads imo

  • @Def2ual

    Never a truer point .. bad suspension can ruin the car..
    I fitted the same Pedders back in 2018 on my 02 STI ( standard anti-roll bars) I found them very harsh on the motorway and general driving was very jarring. I had send them back and went for tein's Z flex.. these were softer but sadly only latest 2 years before having to swap everything out again..

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hmm tricky one. If you were towing a lot then stronger rear springs would be useful but perhaps an air assist would be a good option for the time to time occasions ? I don't know what is available for your model but it seems like the best(ish) of both worlds option 👍
