I didn't like strength weapons in BB. Then we got the Beast Cutter, the Amygdalan Arm, buffed Beast Claws and my beloved Pizza Cutter... There is something so brutally stylish about reducing an enemy to mincemeat with a steampunk Weedwhacker and I can't get enough of it.
Something I noticed while watching this video that's not a measurable factor, but was definitely the case more often than not, was the fear factor. Not everyone fell for this but I noticed many of these players were pulled in when it was in its disassembled form but would dodge like crazy or outright run when the saw came out. If it was just one or two I wouldn't say anything but A LOT of these players were doing this. And it makes sense, in base mode it just looks like a typical weapon whereas when it's assembled it's a whirling, screeching, sparking saw'o'death . Even if the base form has its uses, the secondary form looks infinitely more terrifying. And I think that's exactly what was happening, they were panicking, or at least more fearful of that second form but would get their drive back when it looked like you were open with it not there. Thus a skilled player (better than me for sure) could definitely make use of that to bait someone into a premeditated combo.
This weapon is just the best. My favorite in the game. It definitely is really good for PvE. Not just because of lawnmower mode, but because it does some really decent damage and it can be fast when needed.
My favorite thing about this weapon is when in PvP someone corners themselves, I run in, and just rip them apart. With that and the recovery system, my wounds heal faster than they can make them, making it a wonderfully fun weapon for going toe to toe.
this was one of my favorites on my first playthrough (the second weapon i ever got to +10) the non-transformed club moveset is great, however, i personally found that the transformed attacks are deceptively short, in my experience i wind up missing foes because they are just outside my range with how long the weapon is you expect it to have just a tad bit more range than it does, still a good weapon though giant rotary saws on a stick is pretty metal.
good showcase though I disagree with the speed. For a strength weapon its relatively fast. Compare it with the other big weapons like ludwigs or moonblade, whirling saw feels much faster in both forms while still having great damage and range (oh especially the range). Other than that you nailed it pretty well.
do you know that you can get 22% blood gem from farming winter lantern in the dlc the area before the orphan of kos so its a really good way to get good gems without spending 3 years in chalice dungeon and not becoming a 3 shotter like people who ise 27% damage gems
+dudeIII im well aware of the 22% gems, i already have 27% ones. I generally use a 27% or two and keep the third gem at 19% so i dont two or three shot people frequently

i summoned a guy to help me fight ludwig, and we didnt fight him together, he just shredded him like it was nothing, i swear to god the fight was over in less than 30 seconds. the damage was in the thousands. i dont know what he did to that boss. but holy fuck i needed help, not someone to kill the boss for me.
Hey Mr.4get, this is kinda off topic, but have you tested the Guidance runes in PvP yet? I was wondering if you wore both the ones you got from the dlc, and then used rally boosting bloodgems, how much you could break the game in both PvE and PvP by abusing the rally system and R1 spam.
+MrIwont4get i know this might be annoying to you but could you analyze the Loch Shield, I saw you Church Pick video where there were a lot of times when you were taking damage from the Kos Parasite AoE attack, and i believe the Loch Shield can block it, as well as the Moonlight Greatsword blast. Just bought the dlc went through a few times but was so excited for this weapon I just looked up the location got it and absolutely love it

Something I noticed is L1 to R1 in transformed is faster than R1 to L1 transformed. Gives you a shorter delay in combo.

forget to mention you can also get 19.5 damage gem with no negative attribute if you farm the gaint fish dude in the first lamp of the fishing hamlet

Other than poor damage? Nothing special. If the damage was calculated by each saw tooth, we might've seen something similar to the Rifle-spear.
