Great interview, so many nuggets of wisdom that are all from years of experience! Thank you Kevin and Gael 🙏 As for Kevin's advice to not start with a blog, I feel like he glossed over the fact that you need to own at least part of your distribution. If you only rely on platforms (even if you're on multiple platforms), then you don't own your audience. So having at least an email list is a must, imho. Otherwise you're one algorithm update away from getting your income cut in half, just like what happens to people who overly rely on SEO for their traffic.
This podcast/conversation was excellent and beyond inspiring for a creative person like me. I joined Authority Hacker about 5 years ago and have gone through some ups and downs. But nevertheless have made a lot of progress with my business. Now at the point where I am about to hire writers for my own business. This conversation shares many great nuggets, and ideas, and compares concepts on how to grow your online authority site. Love the thoughts that were shared by Kevin regarding the blog, development, and other platforms! Congrats to him on landing that major investment. This was truly inspiring.
I think the origin of the fear of putting your face out there comes from the early days of the internet when video didn't exist...that and the lack of trust with big tech.. and stalkers/identity thieves

Does your brand/blog have to be a registered company for business expenses to be tax free? Getting a registered company is about 20k usd in my country
