Hi, Could you please suggest if it is possible to create calculate columns and measures and Direct Query Mode? We can't actually see data in Power BI while connecting using Direct Query Mode, so how is it possible to create a calculated column? Also please can you suggest regarding Calculated Measures.

Appreciate your good work and content. It's really helpful and also few things were clear about Import mode. One request if you can explain about one option available under options for Direct Query - Treat SAP HANA as a relational source. It will be helpful. It is said that in relational mode, percentage or aggregation doesn't work properly given the sync of data match between the source and Power BI.

Hi . If your dataset is greater than 1gb for pro account it wont let you add it. It wont upload it partially.
Hi Hima, when we get data and then we choose transform button, it opens the power query. This also means that data is not present in the power BI, right? How it is different from Direct query?
Hi Bindu, thank you for explaining Import and direct query so nicely. When I visited in data model view > clicked on a table > Properties > Advanced > I found "Import", "Direct Query" and "Dual".
You explained Import, Direct Query but not mentioned anything about dual options. Kindly throw some light on dual option please.

While using Direct Query in Power BI Desktop SQL Server as a data Sourcd , What ever changes you made at DB level will reflect ASAP when you hit refresh . Where as when you choose Import as an option for SQL Server Data source level it will not reflect any changes you did ..Plz Correct me if I'm wrong
