I love that "husband #2" was actually Barry Humphries. The contestant was so cute. I loved when Dame Edna asked which was her actual husband & she said "none, not after tonight." Such a fun episode!

What A LUCKY human being!!!!!!!!!!! He was loved, he was allowed to be him and he is DEFINITELY Edna without having to pretend! He's quite her !!! AND he's been able to enjoy it, too! TOO LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was introduced to Dame E in Australia in 1981 when my hosts showed me her “coffee table book”. On the last day of my visit I cooked supper and served, with great flourish, a dip from the book that consisted of a can of smoked oysters mixed with a can of condensed milk. Ugh. I think I told them it was “my grandmother’s secret recipe” or something like that. Everybody raved about the dip and pressed me for the recipe until I made the fatal mistake of telling them the truth. They did not think it was a bit funny, but if Barry’s up in heaven reading TH-cam comments I’m sure he’s having a good laugh.
