It does. I waited until I was married and it made things easier. You become so vulnerable when you have sex. When that vulnerability is in the wrong hands it will be horrible. Staying a virgin while dating made it easier when you breakup. You may be sad but not heartbroken because there is no soul tie.

But here's the advice I give as we pray I tell them that God knows what's best for us why ignore his way. I feel like when I’m done with this month of training and I get to go home for the weekend I might lay with the girl that I met, even-though I know that the Lord wants her for His kingdom, and I know it’s wrong... God knows I’m conflicted and struggling. I’m praying about it... I’m asking Him to protect me during these times, but I’m scared man. Just having these thoughts...I feel like I can’t open up to anyone about it. Sometimez I think God wants for me to go through these things so that I’d have that as my testimony, but I don’t know, I pray that Jesus gives me the right thoughts and words when time comes, so that He can guide me out of temptation and into His presence. Soul ties are so real bro. I have to say, I'm 19 and there was one girl I was hooking up with casually. I stopped talking to her and all because I'm trying to do right by God but occasionally she'll send me something on Snap innocently and just seeing her name pop up on my phone does something. It's not good, and I mute her texts and everything because I'm praying for a wife and don't want to ruin it, but I see now the effect that my sin caused. If I had never slept with her, there would be no lustful thoughts with even just the thought of her, but they come. I'm not experienced in sex other than that, but I regret what I did. What makes it even harder is I know I could just hit her up if I wanted, and it tears me up. It's not worth it, man. If you want your Christian walk to be easier, don't do it man. There are consequences even you're safe about it.

People need to learn to discern the difference between healthy, God-given sexual desire vs. lust! What Marcus is describing @ 6:40 is lust, not "normal" or "healthy" God-given sexual desire. In fact, this exact situation is what happened with David's son raping his own sister because he was "so in love with her". Then as soon as he was finished, he hated her and kicked her outta bed. That's not a "man thing"; it's a LUST THING. It's demonic. Confess and repent. God's not gonna remove lust from anyone who refuses to own that it's WRONG, not "normal". I dont want you to feel as if you must work to repent. I agree the bible says produce fruit unto repentance but you dont need to prove anything to God. God already knows our thoughts afar off. The book of James in the fourth chapter states, if you draw near unto God, He will draw unto you. In this post i assume you have already began to draw to Him so now you need to receive His grace. God loves you, He wants to give the Holy Spirit to them that ask. When you get a chance read Luke 15: 20, notice how the father in this parable ran toward his son who came to his senses. Dont feel condemned for what you have done, be grateful that you have an opportune time to return.

I'm actually in a great place right now in terms of environment/friends/health/emotional/work, etc.. and have been going to church to with an open heart and mind to listen to those who share the Word. So much I need to learn and understand. But the deeper I go, the more I realize there is house cleaning that has to be done. I'm an intellectual with a brave heart, but the journey is still hard. I pray for discernment, I pray for my two babies and I pray for the unborn and the innocent. Those are the things that put pain in my heart. But Jesus endured so much more pain and abuse than I will ever go through, my pain is fractional compared to that. Many of us have done minor things, other have done terrible things, all can be forgiven. But the bigger your heart and humility, the harder it is to forgive oneself. I have asked for forgiveness - But I don't feel worthy right now (getting there though). My view is first we should show forgiveness to others, and then from ourselves. If we can't forgive others or ourselves, then how are we worthy of God's forgiveness? Guilt is like a thick chain around ones' heart. The sooner you can be free of it, the sooner you can open yourself to love. But I have to remind myself that it's a process that needs time and patience. I am not a selfish person, but I'll take any prayers you offer. God bless you and yours.

The thing with David and Samson is that they were powerful leaders and women love these kind of men. Men who are confident and secure in themselves, in a nutshell they love real alpha males who are assertive, direct, firm and strong. Why is there an increase of pastors having affairs? Because their leadership is very attractive to women. David and Samson were men who had options, options meaning having women finding them attractive, hence why other women found them attractive. Which confirms the saying, that we are attracted to what other people have and to what we can't have. It is very hard to be a man today because we are taught to be a certain way when in reality it is the total opposite. The buying flowers on the first date, putting your jacket on top of a puddle, etc does not work with women today. Being a nice guy and a weak man will get men nowhere with women. Young Christian men are struggling and churches need to do more for single men and women. It is not easy and this is coming from myself who is a hot blooded lustful man who loves sex with a passion. She is forgetting that her body has been redeemed by Christ and is now the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). She is telling the world that she determines her own worth on a purely physical basis and that her attractiveness depends on how much of her body she reveals to them. Further, by dressing in an immodest fashion, displaying her body for men to lust after, she causes her brothers in Christ to sin, something condemned by God (Matthew 5:27-29). Proverbs 7:10 mentions a woman “dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent”-here, the woman’s heart condition is displayed by her manner of dress. The Scripture says that we are to dress modestly, but what exactly does that mean in modern society? Does a woman have to be covered from head to toe? There are cults and religions in the world that demand this of women. But is that the biblical meaning of modesty? Again, we have to go back to the matter of the attitudes of the heart. If a woman’s heart is inclined toward godliness, she will wear clothing that is neither provocative nor revealing in public, clothing that does not reflect negatively upon her personal testimony as a child of God. Everyone else in her circle may be dressing immodestly, but she resists the temptation to go along with the crowd. She avoids clothing designed to draw attention to her body and cause men to lust, for she is wise enough to know that type of attention only cheapens her. The idea of causing men to sin against God because of her dress is abhorrent to her because she seeks to love and honor God and wants others to do the same. Modesty in dress reveals a modesty and godliness of the heart, attitudes that should be the desire of all women (and men) who live to please and honor God. Many pastors in the church do not address this issue it must be address. I remember growing up and my mom always made sure we dress modestly in and out of the church. Praise God for women with mothers that guide their daughters and teach their daughters good morals especially when they are young. I enlisted in the marines last October and there’s still a halfway to go... I met a girl in December during my break and she’s an atheist, I tried laying with her but the Lord didn’t allow it... People need to learn to discern the difference between healthy, God-given sexual desire vs. lust! What Marcus is describing @ 6:40 is lust, not "normal" or "healthy" God-given sexual desire. In fact, this exact situation is what happened with David's son raping his own sister because he was "so in love with her". Then as soon as he was finished, he hated her and kicked her outta bed. That's not a "man thing"; it's a LUST THING. It's demonic. Confess and repent. God's not gonna remove lust from anyone who refuses to own that it's WRONG, not "normal". It's actually a bloodline curse that God put on David's family for what he did with Bathsheba (see 2 Samuel 12). By the end of his life, David didn't even have sex with a beautiful virgin when they put her in bed with him! So, yes, even David the Adulterer repented of his sexual lust and was delivered from it. Many people have a generational curse of lust that they need broken in Jesus' name. Self-control is fruit of the Holy Spirit (see Galatians 5), so mature Christians can control themselves sexually and engage in sex as just a physical expression of love within marriage. Period.
2 Samuel 13:1-22:
Now David’s son Absalom had a beautiful sister named Tamar. And Amnon, her half brother, fell desperately in love with her. Amnon became so obsessed with Tamar that he became ill. She was a virgin, and Amnon thought he could never have her.
But Amnon had a very crafty friend-his cousin Jonadab. He was the son of David’s brother Shimea.a 4One day Jonadab said to Amnon, “What’s the trouble? Why should the son of a king look so dejected morning after morning?”
So Amnon told him, “I am in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”
“Well,” Jonadab said, “I’ll tell you what to do. Go back to bed and pretend you are ill. When your father comes to see you, ask him to let Tamar come and prepare some food for you. Tell him you’ll feel better if she prepares it as you watch and feeds you with her own hands.”
So Amnon lay down and pretended to be sick. And when the king came to see him, Amnon asked him, “Please let my sister Tamar come and cook my favorite dish as I watch. Then I can eat it from her own hands.” So David agreed and sent Tamar to Amnon’s house to prepare some food for him.
When Tamar arrived at Amnon’s house, she went to the place where he was lying down so he could watch her mix some dough. Then she baked his favorite dish for him. But when she set the serving tray before him, he refused to eat. “Everyone get out of here,” Amnon told his servants. So they all left.
Then he said to Tamar, “Now bring the food into my bedroom and feed it to me here.” So Tamar took his favorite dish to him. But as she was feeding him, he grabbed her and demanded, “Come to bed with me, my darling sister.”
“No, my brother!” she cried. “Don’t be foolish! Don’t do this to me! Such wicked things aren’t done in Israel. Where could I go in my shame? And you would be called one of the greatest fools in Israel. Please, just speak to the king about it, and he will let you marry me.”
But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her, and since he was stronger than she was, he raped her. Then suddenly Amnon’s love turned to hate, and he hated her even more than he had loved her. “Get out of here!” he snarled at her.
“No, no!” Tamar cried. “Sending me away now is worse than what you’ve already done to me.”
But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her. He shouted for his servant and demanded, “Throw this woman out, and lock the door behind her!”
So the servant put her out and locked the door behind her. She was wearing a long, beautiful robe, as was the custom in those days for the king’s virgin daughters. But now Tamar tore her robe and put ashes on her head. And then, with her face in her hands, she went away crying.
Her brother Absalom saw her and asked, “Is it true that Amnon has been with you? Well, my sister, keep quiet for now, since he’s your brother. Don’t you worry about it.” So Tamar lived as a desolate woman in her brother Absalom’s house.
When King David heard what had happened, he was very angry. And though Absalom never spoke to Amnon about this, he hated Amnon deeply because of what he had done to his sister.
1 Kings 1:1-4: King David was now very old, and no matter how many blankets covered him, he could not keep warm. So his advisers told him, “Let us find a young virgin to wait on you and look after you, my lord. She will lie in your arms and keep you warm.”
So they searched throughout the land of Israel for a beautiful girl, and they found Abishag from Shunem and brought her to the king. The girl was very beautiful, and she looked after the king and took care of him. But the king had no sexual relations with her.

I feel you brother cause I'm the same way..just being honest. However, the Lord gives his children self control through the Holy Spirit. I'm holding myself till marriage cause it's God's Will (and I want to avoid any potential for unwanted pregnancy) but I do struggle with the thought. So much I need to learn and understand. But the deeper I go, the more I realize there is house cleaning that has to be done. I'm an intellectual with a brave heart, but the journey is still hard. I pray for discernment, I pray for my two babies and I pray for the unborn and the innocent. Those are the things that put pain in my heart. But Jesus endured so much more pain and abuse than I will ever go through, my pain is fractional compared to that. Many of us have done minor things, other have done terrible things, all can be forgiven. But the bigger your heart and humility, the harder it is to forgive oneself. I have asked for forgiveness - But I don't feel worthy right now (getting there though). My view is first we should show forgiveness to others, and then from ourselves. If we can't forgive others or ourselves, then how are we worthy of God's forgiveness? Guilt is like a thick chain around ones' heart. The sooner you can be free of it, the sooner you can open yourself to love.
But I have to remind myself that it's a process that needs time and patience. I am not a selfish person, but I'll take any prayers you offer. God bless you and yours.

The thing with David and Samson is that they were powerful leaders and women love these kind of men. Men who are confident and secure in themselves, in a nutshell they love real alpha males who are assertive, direct, firm and strong.
Why is there an increase of pastors having affairs? Because their leadership is very attractive to women. David and Samson were men who had options, options meaning having women finding them attractive, hence why other women found them attractive. Which confirms the saying, that we are attracted to what other people have and to what we can't have.
It is very hard to be a man today because we are taught to be a certain way when in reality it is the total opposite. The buying flowers on the first date, putting your jacket on top of a puddle, etc does not work with women today. Being a nice guy and a weak man will get men nowhere with women.

Yes, these pastors are not babies, but it is on the rise. You will be very surprised how many church women are attracted to their pastors. Think about it, pastors have knowledge, they lead the congregation, they have wisdom, they have everybody's undivided attention, etc and deep down women love all of those traits in a man. Solomon is another prime example, look how many wives and cuncubines he had. Women are wired to desire men who are powerful and strong.

Many christian women in the church dress like the world.
“What does it mean to dress modestly?"
In describing the mode of dress appropriate for women in church, the apostle Paul exhorts them to dress “modestly” with “decency and propriety” then goes on to contrast immodest dress with the good deeds which are appropriate for those who profess to be true worshipers of God (1 Timothy 2:9-10). While the Bible only specifically addresses the need for women to dress modestly, the same teaching would apply to men in principle. Both men and women should bring glory to God in their manner of dress.
Modesty in the way we dress is not just for church; it is to be the standard for all Christians at all times. The key to understanding what constitutes modesty in dress is to examine the attitudes and intents of the heart. Those whose hearts are inclined toward God will make every effort to dress modestly, decently, and appropriately. Those whose hearts are inclined toward self will dress in a manner designed to draw attention to themselves with little or no regard for the consequences to themselves or others.
A godly woman endeavors to do everything with a “God-ward” perspective. She knows that God wants His people to be concerned for His glory and the spiritual state of their brothers and sisters in Christ. If a woman professes to be a Christian yet she dresses in a way that will unduly draw attention to her body, she is a poor witness of the One who bought her soul by dying for her on the cross. She is forgetting that her body has been redeemed by Christ and is now the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). She is telling the world that she determines her own worth on a purely physical basis and that her attractiveness depends on how much of her body she reveals to them. Further, by dressing in an immodest fashion, displaying her body for men to lust after, she causes her brothers in Christ to sin, something condemned by God (Matthew 5:27-29). Proverbs 7:10 mentions a woman “dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent”-here, the woman’s heart condition is displayed by her manner of dress.
The Scripture says that we are to dress modestly, but what exactly does that mean in modern society? Does a woman have to be covered from head to toe? There are cults and religions in the world that demand this of women. But is that the biblical meaning of modesty? Again, we have to go back to the matter of the attitudes of the heart. If a woman’s heart is inclined toward godliness, she will wear clothing that is neither provocative nor revealing in public, clothing that does not reflect negatively upon her personal testimony as a child of God.
Everyone else in her circle may be dressing immodestly, but she resists the temptation to go along with the crowd. She avoids clothing designed to draw attention to her body and cause men to lust, for she is wise enough to know that type of attention only cheapens her. The idea of causing men to sin against God because of her dress is abhorrent to her because she seeks to love and honor God and wants others to do the same.
Modesty in dress reveals a modesty and godliness of the heart, attitudes that should be the desire of all women (and men) who live to please and honor God.
Many pastors in the church do not address this issue it must be address.
I remember growing up and my mom always made sure we dress modestly in and out of the church.
Praise God for women with mothers that guide their daughters and teach their daughters good morals especially when they are young.
There is a saying “you become your mother as you get older” I fine this to be so true.

I have children. 3 boys. Even when I wore less modest clothes they never saw. I'm a tshirt and Jean's kind of gal. I like dresses but not too short. It's even more hard in today's society.
