If I want to print on black shirt how can I do the white color I mean the base color..?

Hello is s this method spot process
    Or simulated
Can i print this method on black shirt ..
On 4 colour press or need 6 colour press ..
Print white base than in order
    Y m c k need 5 screens minimum yeah ??
Do you buy ink for what spot colour you choose in the design or do you just use cmyk and it blends meaning only 4 colours
Is it best this method on light shirts
Just unsure about ink what to buy etc

Hello, this is a CMYK Process. Call your ink distributor and ask them for CMYK inks..this method is for white shirts. Yes you can do this method on black shirts using a white base. I would not recommend it on your first job, you nay want to get the CMYK down first then try that

@@ladyprintboss thanks im a signwriter by trade here in Australia
I have understanding in graphic side of things..
If i wanted to print this on a black how do i spot process or simulated process
What ink cours do i need all that are in the image
Like how do i know what colours i need
Do u just match the separated spot colours with ink
Like if i have image with red grreen yellow purple orange black brown etc do i buy ink for every colour for all the screens matching the colour in corel etc
Or how do i simulate it to be say like this tutorial but less colours used simulated i believe
      Thanks for ur helping
In simple form i guess i want to know how to print this high detailed images like photographs etc this pic etc on black using halftones seps
I know spot is more vector and simulated for raster images
But unsure of simulated inks i need cmyk and white or every colour in the design once separated
      Hope thats simple question

@@jap71rx2 there isn't a simple answer to your question. CMYK and simulated process are two different types of seps.. CMYK is created with waterbased ink. that ink is transparent and that's why you need a white shirt. You can add a white base too it and still achieve a great looking shirt, It takes practice. CMYK is done using the CMYK color gamut some. Simulated Process is created using opaque plastisol inks which are able to be printed on dark shirts. Simulated Process Seps are created using RBG colors. Not as easy to do. I am coming with a plugin to do this really soon.
