About Spinal Muscular Atrophy :
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one genetic cause of death for infants. SMA is caused by a mutation in the survival motor neuron gene 1 (SMN1). The gene does not make enough of a protein needed for the motor neurons to work normally. The motor neurons break down and can’t send signals to the muscles.

Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease affecting the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, and voluntary muscle movement, it does not affect internal organs such as liver, heart, kidneys. SMA is muscular because its primary effect is on muscles, which don’t receive signals from these nerve cells.

Vraiment désolé de n'avoir jamais répondu. C'est la première fois que je vois le message. Alors pour vous répondre, OUI, souvent l'âge est un des qualificatifs.
Je viens tout juste d'enfin commencé à prendre le Risdiplam.
Vous êtes sur le programme Risdiplam depuis 1 ans maintenant, si je me fie à la date que ce message à été affiché.
