Its unbelievableso many songs ive notice they have been on this film after all these years sure sounds wierd when you hear them again afer the new ones. Ow ❤😮
Marla? She’s such an awful Mary Roberts. She can’t hit the notes and she sounds nasally and whiney. She’s nowhere near Katie. Such a shame they couldn’t they couldn’t just fly out Katie.
@@ruthavegai agree. I’ve seen many many sister Mary Robert’s. She can’t match any of the others’ standards. I agree Katie is the best one by far. Recently I’ve watched SOPHIE MONTAGUE in the Australian tour with Casey Donovan. Sophie was pretty good too!! I think people probably haven’t heard other casts that’s why they think Marla is good
don't take it off the list the show was amazing, in my opinion the show performance was incredibly. i would love to see it again if i could, so i believe everyone should see it

Do not even think about taking it off that list. Please remember that this performance was around 2 weeks after they were all casted. Watch the Tony Awards Performance and you'll see how much better they are. This show is possibly one of the best I've seen, and I've seen a lot. I totally recommend seeing it, I might be seeing it for a second time soon.
Whoopi is a fabulous director, but she will admit she doesn't have afabulous voice like Petina or like Lauryn Hill didi in the movie Sister Act 2. They're both wonderful presentations. It was great of Broadway JLM to upload!
I did see the Tony Awards performance. LOL! I saw that one too and was just as disappointed. But maybe I won't take it off of the list quite yet. I've moved it down for now, but I'm interested in seeing what Raven-Symone does with the role! LOL but thanks for responding though! Good to hear opinions from those who have actually seen it live!!
This was pretty....boring. This show is at the top of my Broadway bucket list currently but...uhm it might come off of the list completely after this. :O/ Glad I saw this.
Um... yeah. Cause those songs? Were COPYRIGHTED. No way is any theatrical company going to pay through the noise for stuff like that. Plus, it makes them ineligible for the music awards at the Tonys.
saturn0205 Although technically Hail Holy Queen (The original hymn) is in the public domain ---free to use, arrange and rearrange in new ways! In other words, as long as they didn't move too close to the Sister Act movie version, the musical would have been fine to use Hail Holy Queen :)
first of all if that fat nun is Mary Patrick then she isn't supposed to be wearing glasses in the film. Secondly Mary Lazaurus doesn't play the piano in the film either, Sister Alma does. Mary Lazaurus sings in the choir.
I am obsessed with this musical. Especially this song. Fantastic!
Mee too
Its unbelievableso many songs ive notice they have been on this film after all these years sure sounds wierd when you hear them again afer the new ones. Ow ❤😮
The shy girl belting Gs & As at the end!!!
Wow...

I was in New York and saw this musical. I enjoyed it so much with my mother! Was great!
Mary Roberts was AWESOME!!!!

I like sister robert! Very pretty!
最高!!
high notes aren't easy in the morning - its a morning show. calm down paople
Exactly!!! Based on experience it's hard to hit those notes:/ still good that they tried it. I think they usually have a 4am call time or so
Still miss the note.
I like the old sister act and the songs! :(
Songs were copyrighted.
Sunshine Paras I
Hahaha .you with your Glee xD
I love it ♥
The Tony Award Performance was better. Check that out. Being in a tiny studio like this, the energy doesn't amplify but in a theatre it does
“Raise the Devil!” was kind of crazy😂
definitely!
2:05 まで見たら 2:40 に飛ぶ
Oh yes. :))))
it's so funny how they are all like bootleg versions of the movie cast haha
That's the point.
Whoopi is the best.
I did see the Tony Awards performance. LOL! I saw that one too and was just as disappointed. But maybe I won't take it off of the list quite yet. Love it. Tony awards version is better.
maaan thats awesome :D
ah! oui!
Did she just say praise the devil?!?! At 2:35?!?!
I still don't get how thats something a nun would say, raise- I think of exalt when i hear raise.
+12 Medbe correction, erase the devil
It is "raise the devil" not erase. Normally nun wouldn't say this but in Sister Acts they do~
Perhaps they mean raze the devil
No, the script and score spell it "raise."
Wow... Thats all i can say....
¿en el musical estan las canciones de la pelicula tambien? como por ejemplo i will follow him y otras?
No, those sons are copyrighted. All the songs in the musical were written just for it.
But other Music.
Its the musical though.
The music from the musical is 1000% better than the music from the movie.
lol American is generally nasal isn't it :>
i'm sorry
This isn´t the film!
i think the dutch version is better! Laat je gaan sister act
but it's the same story with the same characters.
I like Whoopi Goldberg better.
Marla Mindelle... What are you doing.
This was pretty....boring. This show is at the top of my Broadway bucket list currently but...uhm it might come off of the list completely after this. :O/ Glad I saw this.
and you know what: They don't sing one of the songs of the musical in the film neither. oh my...
Um... yeah. Cause those songs? Were COPYRIGHTED. No way is any theatrical company going to pay through the noise for stuff like that. Plus, it makes them ineligible for the music awards at the Tonys.

this isnt the actual cast but okay . . .
this is most of the original Broadway cast
I saw that one first. It was just as boring to me. I was kinda shocked. The whole thing was just flat for me. ::shrugs:: :O/
sa part aport a la vrai sa c nul
what the f*** is siter mary robert doing??? step aside and just let Katie Roley Jones do it!!
Lol! This looks shit.
This sounds disgusting. Patina is amazing though.
first of all if that fat nun is Mary Patrick then she isn't supposed to be wearing glasses in the film. Secondly Mary Lazaurus doesn't play the piano in the film either, Sister Alma does. Mary Lazaurus sings in the choir.
Not the film, hun. Changes are made between versions.
she can't hit the high notes at all
