I will most likely never be able to fulfill my dreams about living in a movable luxury home. But I geniunely love your videos (with the ultimate yacht charter being an all-time favorite series), and will keep watching MOTAHOLIC with the hope of seeing more land-based tours. Thank you!
Really enjoyed that and can see that you listened to feedback. It was nice to see some of the gadgets, slideouts, sunroofs, steps all working. Judging by the gap in the front wheels arches, I assume the truck has self leveling as well.
I'm from USA and this is a normal size / length for a motor home, but that being said yours are built much better with higher quality. I must say I love yours much better then the USA ones.
I think RC did a video tour of their workshops whilst this was being built. What a fantastic machine, and some real craftsmanship. I don't see why some are finding the £650k pricetag hard to believe. I don't work in the motorhome or yacht industry but sometimes have to work with cost estimating so can't help but try to understand costs like this when I see them. First off, we usually quote prices including VAT (sales tax) in the UK so it's actually a £540k motorhome, ex-VAT. The most obvious cost is the bare chassis... I can't find a list price but I'm aware that a standard Volvo tractor unit was almost £100k nearly 10 years ago, so I'd expect the chassis/cab starting point is over £100k. Then you look at the material choices, and the man-hours that goes into that level of fit and finish. The cost of the electronic gizmos is significant but probably relatively small compared with the labour to put it all together. If you're paying your craftsmen £30-40k per year they are actually costing you nearly double that with NI contributions, pension contributions etc. So a team of 3 working on this for 6 months full time will be in the £100-150k range. Then you have the cost of the workshop and site, all the tools (CNC machines aren't cheap!) plus the company owner needs to put food on his own table. Finally, this is a bespoke build. That price includes the costs of customer consultation, design work, generating models and drawings. If you do a series production then you can amortise those costs across the production run and reduce the price a bit. There's also additional learner costs as your team aren't knocking out 50 of the same pieces of furniture at a time but rather building each one as a never-before-built item.
Not a lot of diesel pushers here in Maryland. I just (got home yesterday) drove home from Idaho (I-70 route) and saw a ton of them west of the Mississippi.
It’s beautiful! Mind you, a beautiful price as well! The thing with this thought is its sheer size! Shouldn’t imagine there aren’t many places you can either go or park up with it
Fantastic video as always. I must say I find this thing a little disappointing for what it appears to be from the outside. I feel like it compromises a lot in attempting to look like a house/apartment, when the space could be used a lot more creatively if it allowed itself to be more of a mobile home.
Yadda, yadda, yadda. I loved it! No American gaudiness (and I live in Los Angeles) just European understatement. Classic. Intelligent floor plan and total comfort. Bathroom in the center is brilliant. I don’t want the bath in the back so guests walk through my bedroom! Only question is where are laundry facilities? Nick, this must be fun for you? Well done. Oh gawd. No you have to get new socks! Aquaholic socks are not appropriate here! Wink.
I liked the interior design style, but hated that bathroom in the middle of everything. So much fro privacy if while or after you go to the bathroom someone needs to walk through it...
Who are you going to invite in their? It’s for an older couple that are in retirement. There are other vehicles that fit your needs you have to understand not everything revolves around you and it’s not like you can afford it anyways
@@infunerous666 them not being able to afford something is not an argument against whether or not they can comment on the sheer stupidity of the design 🙄 Bad design is bad design.
Love the decor. As a Canadian, there is nothing like this in North America. It would be fantastic, if Newell Coaches and Airstream designers would adopt this modern look.
OMG! That, by far, IS THE most beautiful RV I have seen yet ... in every aspect. European design and imagination, to me, far exceeds American [shoebox shape] RV designs. That is not a put down ... it's just a fact. I know. I'm American.
Everyone is talking about the bathroom layout, but I have another question: there is a galley, so you are supposed (or able) to cook in this thing. But how do you eat in there? There is a small (maybe bigger with a fold out) and obviously fixed coffee table, which does not seem to be "getatable" from the sofas.
Maybe the table folds out and rises up (?) and then with the fold outs inside to close the gap between seating and table? Does not seem very practical to move those big things "just" to eat. Or do it just with your plates on the lap? :D

Viewers of Aquaholic will find comfort in the fact that the motorhome is powered by a Volvo engine, albeit not by a pair of Volvo Pentas.
Should have built it on a Scania chassis which are far better than Volvo’s. As a class 1 HGV driver I can personally vouch for Scania, which are by far the best trucks on the European market.
The point of the bathroom in the middle is that you can use both at the same time - driver and owner. The lock the toilet from inside each and dont have to meet. Good idea
precisely a lot of folk wont know what you mean also the twins at the back can get odd wear on the tyres depending on the suspension set up when driving at lower speeds where there are lots of bends in the roads
It has a huge overhang for the length of the coach. My coach is longer than the legal limit in the UK and I have less than half of the rear overhang that this thing has.
Just when I thought I was Nick Burnham’s no. 1 fan, I discover he has a whole other channel I didn’t know about 😒 🤣 Subscribed, maybe at least we can get you in one of these beauties if we can’t get you a new yacht.
@@Jabber-ig3iw Shorter wheelbase also means less stability. RVs with low wheelbase to length ratios are heavily over represented in crash statistics. For safety and driver fatigue reasons the wheelbase should be well over 50% (54% is close to ideal as far as stability vs maneuverability goes) and the tag should put it close to 60%. That ratio needs to increase if all the overhang is at one end. If you have ever drive a vehicle with a large side surface area you know the effect that wind has. That gets amplified by a the overhang (acts like a lever). My coach is 42'10" and has a 261" wheelbase, but the overhang is split (front wheels are about 2' behind the driver and 6' behind the front of the coach) and the tag axle shortens the rear overhang. With the tag retracted the coach is very tough to keep straight in a crosswind. Once you drop the tag it becomes extremely stable. Tag up turning circle is about 70'. Maybe wind is not a big issue in the UK and the shorter distances make driver fatigue less of an issue. Here in North America stability is king.
Sad But Mad Lad These are low profile HGV tyres extremely wide and well up to this job, they were designed to lower height and pull mega trailers but with the same weight capacity..Always vital to keep to 4 meters as any European countries will not allow vehicles over this height, except under special permit oversize loads etc...As for the rear steer this is so important on long rigid type vehicles, it gives fantastic manoeuvre ability and the two rear axles give a solid stability...Using a Volvo 540 engine and the Volvo I shift automatic transmission means this is a powerful quality piece of kit...
Dont forget vehicles based off of a truck chassis will come equipped with axle /differential lock . With the weight Behind These, unless you're taking it into an absolute mudhole these are very capable vehicles
Spectacular😀. Just a suggestion, if you have time I would like to see interviews with RV owners🤞. I understand you have a lot of editing and filming to do for AQUAHOLIC as well. Take your time😉.
Love your pink socks! This motor home is the most beautiful, modern and clean line I’ve ever seen! I wish the US would catch up! I am in the market for a less expensive motor home 😉 but cannot find the modern look I want.
For just over half a million quid I'd expect a private toilet. A toilet where you could go in and do your business in private and keep the smells locked away. I would not use that toilet for fear of stinking out the whole motorhome. The design team needs to think again.
Without going into your fear of others smelling your bodily odors; what makes you think there aren't fans keeping any possible smells at bay? Motorhomes one tenth of this price has them, why would this be any different? It's just the bathroom that's slightly larger.
What a beautiful RV. So if you're watching the big tv in the bedroom and someone is using the bathroom, you have to wait for them to finish before you can leave the bedroom area?
Nice however that bathroom/ is badly thought out. If someone is having a crap you gotta smell it in the kitchen and bedroom at tge same time. Bathroom should have been placed behind the bedroom or to the side at least.
I believe it's there because if it was at theback or side, there would be no room for the garage. That's why many other brands have the garage in the middle with a slide out parking spot
Thanks for the Video mate, it was brilliantly made! Loved how you covered everything with precise amount of detail to explain every feature in the truck but also never wasted any words or made the video any longer than it has to be! Perfect presentation in my opinion!! :)
I have a 35 foot Pacearrow and the layout is perfect for me. Comfortable and very good quality. Its not so modern looking. But very classy in old traditional kind of way. This one is like A GTA5 SecureServer mobile operations unit.
One cabin and one head, on a truck that size? Plus, were the hell would you go in it, all well and good having a giant camper van, but it's just too big to tour the UK in.
Most coaches that size are designed for a couple. Some have 1.5 baths, but you normally have to get over 40' for that and I don't think the really big coaches (40 to 45 foot) are legal in the UK. Here in the US we pull other vehicles or trailers with bigger coaches than this one.
Exactly, most places you’d want to visit would be off the beaten track down single lane roads which this thing would never fit down. And what retiring pensioner wants to get their HGV licence and have the stress of trying to drive this lump around. You’d need a crew but there’s nowhere for them to sleep!
@@Si1234321 Coaches this size (and bigger) are not that tough to drive, but you have to constantly think about your exit path. I have a coach that measures 42'10" and tow a 20' enclosed trailer (23' LOA) with a Toyota Highlander in it (longer trips we take a larger enclosed trailer (30' LOA with a 27' box). Total combined length with the short trailer and hitch is about 66' which limits which roads we can use with the coach. In reality though, you are going to find a place to park the coach and trailer and use that as your home base for several days. Day trips are what the secondary vehicle is for (which is why you bring something with a roof and the ability to haul people and supplies). The advantage of this is that you don't have to completely break camp everyday that you want to see an attraction or go into town. This approach makes sense in North America because we have big roads and big distances. Plus most states exclude commercial licensing requirements for recreational vehicles and even in those that don't you are allowed 26,000 lbs combined before you need the equivalent of an HGV license.
Know what you mean so with that in mind designed a retro RV based on 7.5 tonne Mercedes chassis and had it professionally built for a fraction of the cost of that mother sucker! This is absolutely fabulous and the interior is so beautiful... Great restrained colours so calm and tasteful. Absolutely knockout.
Thank you for the walkthrough. It’s funny that a boat of similar length and overall size would have probably three cabins and maybe even two heads. As an RV owner I’d love to see more “boat-like” accommodations! 🍻
That driveside front tire has seen better days. Looks like that 500hp engine did some burnouts with it. Love the slide outs and styling. Thanks Nick.
Oh my days, I have watched all of your aquaholic tours. I didn't realize there was also a motaholic channel, this could be a long night!
Welcome aboard! :)
I loved the surprise at the end! That looks fun. Nice looking place!
Me: Clicking around to see fancy motorhomes, after spending way too much time watching luxury yacht tours - knowing very well that I would always prefer to stay on land rather than on the seas.
Also me, while buffering the video: MOTAHOLIC, that reminds me about...
Still me, five seconds into the clip: So, I obviously just found a new favorite channel.
I will most likely never be able to fulfill my dreams about living in a movable luxury home. But I geniunely love your videos (with the ultimate yacht charter being an all-time favorite series), and will keep watching MOTAHOLIC with the hope of seeing more land-based tours. Thank you!
Awesome, welcome aboard! :)
How did I not know you did motor reviews too! Love the yacht videos and this is just the cherry on top!
Welcome aboard!
At this price point I expected a swimming pool, a billiard room, a horse stable, a helicopter pad and a rocket launcher.
Use the garage for a stable and replace the bed mattress with a mini pool and you're pretty much half way there ;)
At this price, you can hardly buy a 15 years old average home in California, in high-risk wildfire areas
Was not expecting the rocket launcher, would be a nice touch though, not sure how it would affect the insurance premiums..
Exactamundo lmao, dont forget a mini submarine lol .
I love the fact that you gave it a RPG
Motaholic!? This is great! Now we’re able to get more of your videos Nick.
Enjoy!
Ah, I've been waiting for another MOTAHOLIC video for ages, thanks Nick, and hoping to see more in the future!
Hoping to bring them! :)

It is amazing how far motorhomes have come. Truly beautiful.
An RV with tasteful design - rare indeed.
Friend of mine bought something like this as they don’t want to fly anymore, and the drive to visit their parents is 2,000 miles (here in the US)
Not a lot of diesel pushers here in Maryland. I just (got home yesterday) drove home from Idaho (I-70 route) and saw a ton of them west of the Mississippi.

Great tour and great vehicle, thank you! I wouldn't want to be a rear passenger in that though, comfy seats but no side window to look out of 😮
Great design. I also love the Ariel Nomad outside (0:46)
the amount of space is unreal. when you first walked in my jaw nearly dropped lol
Fantastic video as always. I must say I find this thing a little disappointing for what it appears to be from the outside. I feel like it compromises a lot in attempting to look like a house/apartment, when the space could be used a lot more creatively if it allowed itself to be more of a mobile home.
I didn't know he had ANOTHER channel. Diversify and prosper!!
Right. I say the thumbnail and when it started I was like why is he doing rvs.lol

Wink.
Stunning, great tour, much appreciated 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it
Can't imagine driving that around europe. Would not be a good time.
Imagine the bathroom was in the room and everyone would barge inside to use the washroom.. where’s the privacy!
@Punished Aniquin No one cares
@@infunerous666 them not being able to afford something is not an argument against whether or not they can comment on the sheer stupidity of the design 🙄

And has Miele appliances.. But don't like the layout... The toilet/shower is just in the wrong place
Should have built it on a Scania chassis which are far better than Volvo’s. As a class 1 HGV driver I can personally vouch for Scania, which are by far the best trucks on the European market.
@Omar Williams, in the rear, Sherlock.
@Omar Williams, no it could be anywhere, like in the very front, but practicality would have it in the rear.
@@matty6848 hahahahahahaha dinnie talk shite. You just like it cause you want a v8 and an angry chicken sticker on your window
The point of the bathroom in the middle is that you can use both at the same time - driver and owner. The lock the toilet from inside each and dont have to meet. Good idea
That’s known as a six wheeler,I drive them at work, need to be careful with that overhang at the back, especially with the rear steer axle.
precisely a lot of folk wont know what you mean also the twins at the back can get odd wear on the tyres depending on the suspension set up when driving at lower speeds where there are lots of bends in the roads
It has a huge overhang for the length of the coach. My coach is longer than the legal limit in the UK and I have less than half of the rear overhang that this thing has.
That's insanity. Cherry on top with the Atom. Whom ever owns this setup makes my existence look microscopic.
Perhaps it was made for the Ariel Atom Company, would be ideal to go to track days in all over Europe.
Just when I thought I was Nick Burnham’s no. 1 fan, I discover he has a whole other channel I didn’t know about 😒 🤣 Subscribed, maybe at least we can get you in one of these beauties if we can’t get you a new yacht.
Very clinical looking interior - Spock from Star Trek would love it.
Travelling desi would love this ...
Wow this is my first visit to this mota version, just recently pop up in my recommended video
Though only thing that looked a bit weird was the front wheels, they looked too small.
Front wheels look small and rear wheels look to far forward.
Rich any further back and this would have the manoeuvrability of a cruise ship. Shorter wheelbase equals smaller turning circle.
@@rich7447 the front was jacked up to level the vehicle. It left the front wheels dangling awkwardly
To have the garage space in the back is so impressive!!! Nice!!!
How many sites are straight off main roads, imagine trying to take this down a country road or narrow B roads.
@Rick Fuller Also unlike other HGV's this one has rear wheel steering too. This has a much better turning radius.

Or you could just watch what you’re eating instead of blaming others
Graham, you need a healthy diet fella.

That's why many other brands have the garage in the middle with a slide out parking spot
loo in the garage derek pffft

Welcome aboard!
Love this layout! Everything is separated.❤❤❤
I long to see a motor home whose interior doesn't look like an intensive care unit.

American RVs and motor homes have this horrible brown/beige interior, very old fashioned, rather resembling an old peoples home, very depressing. Is that what you call 'homely'? If so you can keep it.
In the United States most of the high-end motorhomes come with a bath and a half the half is generally middle of the coach full bath generally to the rear of the coach and all high-end motorhomes are basically designed for one couple map for a bunch of kids. Motorhomes high-end start anywhere from about 350 to about 2 and 1/2 million dollars
