Glad to finally see a new buffet. This is a welcome addition for those seeking an upscale seafood and Asian experience. The duck and crab legs are worth the ten dollar price difference.
You are a pleasure to watch! its more fun to watch you enjoy the meal then just tasting little bites and rating it like you used to do.. Congrats on the success!!
Aloha Danny, Uncle Steve and Mrs. Steve. That Rosè was Daou, a pretty good wine for the price at Costco. Mahalo for a super video! Love the looks of this buffet.
Yes, you got it Dan. The three-cup chicken is a Taiwanese style Izakaya dish, the name refers to the seasonings being used in making it. I believe the most important seasoning there are soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and sometimes sesame oil. Of course the ratio is not 1 to 1 to 1. But the name along with the great taste of it makes it a popular Taiwanese dish ever since it's invented. 🎉
It's not really an Izakaya dish, it's origin is street food from Taiwan. Cooked in a claypot. The ratio is 1-1-1, as the name suggests. But modern chefs (in fancy restaurants) now make their own versions with added ingredients, in larger portions, and with different ratios. Note: the wikipedia entry about San-bei-ji being invented in China (Jiangxi cuisine) is false (anti-Taiwan propaganda).
@@pimaxuma Can I ask if the third cup is sugar or sesame oil? I mean if it is sugar, I can get it, since people from Taiwan especially southern Taiwan have sweet teeth. If it refers to sesame oil, wouldn't it be too much?
@@JJC007 Sesame oil. But that "cup" doesn't mean 8 ounces. Western measurements weren't used by Chinese street cooks at that time. They just eyeballed liquid amounts in a small cup (similar size to a Chinese tea cup). Put all ingredients in a typical Chinese claypot covered (individual portion). Modern versions cooked in a wok need different ratios, because the liquids evaporate faster. Hope that helps.
Many years ago in my younger days, in an effort to impress a new date, took her to a restaurant near a local commuter airport. It was styled as a WW1 French farmhouse complete with sandbag bunkers. As we sat a guy near us ordered wine and the sommelier brought a bottle of Blue Nun and offered him the cork to smell. At the time Blue Nun cost a few dollars more than Boones Farm. I was not impressed. Pretentiousness always loses in my eyes.
That microphone is a brilliant addition. I could hear you munching and chewing, just as if I was eating at your table. BTW, I agree the buffet had quality entrees.
3 cup chicken Taiwanese Three Cup Chicken (San Bei Ji or Sanbeiji) is a popular dish that originated in the Jiangxi province of southern China. Recipe lore is that “Three cups” refers to the original recipe calling for one cup each of soy sauce, rice wine, and sesame oil.
Hi Danny Just wonder... Is it cold or steam crab. Last time I went to Jasmin the king crab was terrible. It was small and salty. It not the same as you had on VDO.
Very rich buffet. Good stuff there. The price is good for the quality of food. I would eat there if I was rich. Looks delicious. I just saw a short video on Beiging Noodle 9 at Caesars. they have a reward system of 2 to 1 and 1 to 1, whatever that means. They can tell you at the rewards desk.
Have you ever been to the Ichiza at Chinatown? They offer late night food at a very reasonable price. All kinds of great Japanese food, nigiri, handroll, yakitori, don, raman...the waiter and waitress are very friendly. Cheap drinks too. You should treat yourself some good late night food when it comes to the occasion at Ichiza. They have two locations, I only went to the Original one on the second floor in a bldg inside Chinatown.
This buffet next to the high roller casinos small restaurants mainly for to comp the high rollers they use coupons to get in rest need to paid high prices if you don't gamble not much choices no salad or dessert.
Sometimes quality can be more important than quantity. Most buffets with more variety serve a lot of crappy foods. As I get older I appreciate good quality, instead of mass quantities.

Good thing DTM doesn’t drink wine, so he doesn’t have to hear what the sommelier aka wine guy has to say. DTM you talk too much, they’re going to run out of all of your favorites 😂
According to Taipei University historians, there's no proof that the dish came from mainland China, nor Shanghai. Those stories are made up. It's a Taiwanese dish.
Once you broke it down, the $ is right. Especially for the high quality of the items. Another fun video! Sommelier=som-all-E-AY - Mingnonette=min-yen-ett
Congratulations on the verge of 35K. I've been watching since 4K.
Peter the wine guy is the best!! Really enjoyed the buffet.
Hi Steve!
Hi Steve. Thx for being part of DTM videos
Thanks!! Happy New Year!!
Hi Steve, Happy New Year to you & Mrs. Steve🎉😊
Hi Steve
Your lowbrow style and humour are very entertaining.
10 fir the shrimp! That looked amazing! Great buffet all the way around, imo. Thanks for sharing, Danny!

Really good wines

Thank you Danny for creating this wonderful content 😊Wishing all of you a safe and prosperous Happy New Year 😊😊😊😊
Don't listen to the negative comments, about prices especially in LV. Keep bringing us along, cannot put a price of quality.
Enjoy your videos and excellent sound system. Well done.❤

The company I work for makes DAOU wines. Great to see them in your video. Good stuff!
Happy Monday ❤ and We love your video andHello Steve and Food so Delicious 😋 ❤ and Have a wonderful Day ❤❤
I would skip breakfast and lunch just to have a buffet dinner.

Giving a thumbs up for the background music choice! Good job Genting Palace. 🥳
I have reservations for this coming Saturday evening, was going to cancel, but go instead. Thanks again for doing this video.
The shrimp and the muscles looks wonderful
The seafood is spelled "mussels".

My town sucks. We have very few buffets so I don't eat out. I love trying to eat my body weight in food.
This time, there's a good selection on the buffet.....scallops, oysters, fried rice, shrimp dumplings, and the shrimp.....yummy stuff.
To make even, should eat more oysters. Good quality oysters can be 2 dollars each. I can eat 1 dozen as appetizer
Do they have melted butter for the crab?
in my last video, i asked and I got butter for free
@@dannythemedic You for got the $20+ for the Jumbo Prawns!
Yes, those are much better than Caesars
We can’t tell if Danny is young, old, or somewhere in between.

Three Jumbo Prawns are at least $15 or more!
Every time he says “guys”, take a drink.
Right.
I agree with you DTM on the value....not counting tip/tax. Traditional.peking duck is an art form and usually restaurants charge alot for it.
I was there at 5pm on Sunday but, I didn't see you, you should mention how good a deal that it
Is required to have a reservation
Hi Danny
Just wonder... Is it cold or steam crab. Last time I went to Jasmin the king crab was terrible. It was small and salty. It not the same as you had on VDO.
I imagine the apple wonton taste like the original deep fried McDonald’s apple pie if you remember that.
LOVE THAT STUFF

Sometimes there is a reason Peking duck is a standalone dish. It is perfect as is. No need to try it any other way.
Was the Peking duck better there or at Jasmine brunch? Love black bean sauce too ❤
its kinda all the same, I think the ducks are ducks... recipie is classic
Sorry, I don't think that small offering is worth it. Just my opinion.😊
Agreed. No matter how fresh the seafoods are this buffet lacks of choice/variety.
Sometimes quality can be more important than quantity. Most buffets with more variety serve a lot of crappy foods. As I get older I appreciate good quality, instead of mass quantities.
The Sommelier made sure you got the good side... of the wine.
Poor Tung. All by himself and New Year Eve too. Oh Well. this show is call DTM not Tung the Feet.
You're awesome Danny!
At 11:33 an employee walks behind you and just disappears......editing or dimensional shift?😂😂
I was saying it was half price of Jasmine buffet for $120 at the Bellagio. Either choice is excellent!
Again, for this PRICE POINT ... I would probably choose one of the other BUFFETS 😋
Oh geesh DTM now i'm drooling !!!!
Just go back to SK seafood for your moneys worth 😂👍🏽!

Whooooooooooooaaa super Delish!!!!❤
I feel that extra ginger makes black bean sauce outstanding. Do any of you agree?
When visiting Boston's China Town, I enjoy clams with black bean sauce with a side of white rice.
I thought the gambling budget was at zero for 2024..🤔🤔🤔

"two pounds of crab ain't that much"🎉
Looks deliciuos
If they can have lobsters too then you teally can get your money worth.
Ive had veggie dumplings with glass noodles and was excellent. Yours looks like cabbage.

Ah Danny ah, invents Peking Duck and Black Bean dish, 😂
I see food I eat food enjoyed the episode
Even though it was extra those apple dumplings looked like they were worth it #wulffdendad
No steak or grilled shrimp.
SOME AH LEE AYE
Very small buffet for the price 😢
Delicious
❤❤❤
Easy way to remember pronouncing sommelier- “some” “L (letter L)” “yay”- three parts broken down and say quickly
I think it is profound "sa maul e a "
Forgot to mention.. Total cost is between 75 to 78 including the tax and tip and that certainly isn't worth that
DTM already explained it well. This Chinese buffet is well worth it. But those who don't value good quality Chinese food will never understand that.
Unfortunately I would have to eat a lot of the chicken and fruit to make it worth it. I can't eat seafood at all without an overpriced epie pen.
$60.88 for their normal weekday buffet... meh, barely worth it... Go to the asian buffets and treat Steve and Tung for that price... but DTM don't treat... lol... Happy New Year...
weekEND. the weekday is 50.88

Danny move the "cock"tail sauce closer. Lol
❤❤❤👍👍👍
Not worth it without lobster
It's worth it because is has peking duck, roasted pork, and plenty of seafood.
Seafood buffets are a waste on me. I'll eat seafood but just not my thing. I'll do ribeye or prime rib.
Looks a bit bummy
