Check the washers, I bet a few were installed wrong. 😉 those washers are tapper like a V cut they are meant to go only one way.. Dr.O from Big Os Auto.. good advice.

Maybe you can point me in the right direction. After I replaced the head gasket on my 2AR-FE I have a very loud lifter tick. Everything went back in it's original location.
With it having hydraulic lifters is there a way to do like a valve adjustment or something so I can get rid of that lifter tick?

@@MayoCarsDR so do I need to replace the hydraulic lifter? Or do you have any ideas that I might have overlooked or just not thinking of?
Because before I did the new head and head gasket the engine was super quiet no lifter tick at all and now after replacing the head and head gasket it definitely has one..
I'm 1000000% positive I put each lifter and rocker back in the same exact location I removed it from so I'm kinda puzzled and not sure how to move forward
