  • During a special chapel at The Master's Seminary, our founder, John MacArthur, was joined by Dr. Richard Mayhue, former Executive Vice President, and professor emeritus Dr. Irv Busenitz, to talk about The Master's Seminary's extraordinary legacy. God, in His providence, used these men, alongside ministry partners who believed in the school's mission, to establish the seminary and grow it into one of the world's premier theological institutions, committed to the glory of Christ, the sufficiency of Scripture, and the power of expository preaching.
    ABOUT TMS:
    The Master’s Seminary exists to train men for pastoral ministry-to preach the Word of God, reach the world for Christ, and teach others to do the same. The Master's Seminary was founded in 1986 by John MacArthur, who now serves as chancellor of TMUS.

      What a blessing to be a part of that church. I live across the country and have been praying to find a church. The world is full of false doctrine (prosperity churches). I know Pastor Macarthur says that as a Christian, you really need to be in a church. I can't find one. May God bless you and your family ❤

    Back around 82-83, Dr. Mayhue taught me and others 1 + 2 Thess and Eschatology at the Logos Bible Institute (not mentioned, but was there at the Grace Community Church as a full time option). He taught so well that I'm still pre-Trib Rapture and for good reasons. Thank you men for being good stewards of what God has given you.

    I loved these presentations and have been a Loyal Follower of John MacArthur for many decades. There is one stumbling block that has concerned me for years. I have known brilliant and Good men, with PHD' and years of experience who have become Catholic Priests. I have an MBA but a relatively limited knowledge and experience in Scripture yet, I left the Catholic Church several years ago. I went to Church not for the Church but to give GOD, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit the Love, Praise and Appreciation they Richly Deserved. I spent several years studying Scripture, Catholic Church History, Catechism, Doctrine etc of the Catholic Church and concluded that they were as Pagan as a church can get and to the point; I don't consider them to be Christian but devout Pagans. I feel so very Blessed as I found a delightful Evangelical Baptist Church with a Pastor who graduated from the Master Seminary.
    How is it that such educated men don't see what I see so clearly in the Catholic Tradition?

    • @indakgalak
      @indakgalak 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because they are not (truly educated)! Are you comparing men who go to Roman Catholic Seminary to TMS (The Masters Seminary)… Just because they’re both seminaries, it doesn’t mean they’re the same…

    • @jakehccc1
      @jakehccc1 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@indakgalak Someone in the know? Please give us your Expertise on the Quality of Seminaries. You can have, any opinion you wish, however, if it's not supported by Evidence, it is Pure Pagan Bias and unacceptable! I left the Roman Catholic Church several years ago. It was one of the hardest and most complicated actions, I have ever undertaken. Why? Because, My entire family and a few friends were absolutely Hostile at my decision. The Catholic Religion is as Pagan as a Church can get and any Critical Analysis, based on Scripture could only make that logical opinion. I take Scripture, GOD' Word Seriously.
      I have many Loved one' and Christians who, I Love and Respect that, don't take Scripture Seriously and, if that continues , many will not enter the Kingdom, the three years of The Christs Ministry.

      How was he hindering ten thousand from receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Is he the one that provided the gift of the Holy Ghost or was it Christ the Son? Are you saying Macarthur is God? if you have the Father and the Son in you, you will have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. No human can stop that.. You sound ignorant of the scriptures if your contention is that a man of a sinful nature like you will prevent any human being from receiving the Holy Ghost.

      The baptism of the Spirit is given the moment God regenerates a person and gives him the heart of repentance and the measure of faith. No man can hinder what God has has already determined.

      @danielfraser643 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is not what I am referring to. Reason is required to reach the point of realisation that Faith alone suffices. We are truly lost until we reach that personal understanding. You have much reasoning ahead of you my friend, I wish you well but warn you to limit your reliance on others to 'understand' "hard to..understand and 'translate' " scripture. Psalm 99-102. I would remind you too that it is not we ourselves that renew our mind.

    • @danielfraser643
      @danielfraser643 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TyXTheJedi Hey, the short answer is no, we are not capable of "imitating" Jesus. We are to allow Him to live through us. This is a fundamental of Christianity. If a person does not understand this, they have no claim to Christianity.
      The product of Him living through us is true humility and gentleness.
      Jesus did not teach of "the scriptures", He taught about the nature of the Father. Jesus did not teach "how to pray", He demonstrated the importance the Father places on prayer in the relationship He demands of us.

      Are you not a Christian? Seems like a strange comment for a Christian to make. Generally speaking we try not to bring division where there need not be any. Galatians 3:28 There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus.

      @@bdgdbdgd When you say "you guys" I assume you mean "you Christians"? And there is no such thing as a black church and a white church. The word church means the "called out ones" or the "ones called out by God" there is only one church and it is filled with people from "every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues". If you have truly found a church that is turning people away at the door based on the color of their skin, I assure you that this church is not a church.
