Man I have a 96 chevy extended cab. It was given to me by my uncle as a birthday project. I wasn’t a big fan of the extended cab version but after seeing this truck and a couple others lowered with that type of wheel and tire size, I’m gonna make the truck my own and appreciate the fact that these trucks are becoming super popular right now. Still thinking of keeping the factory hood or go with a cowl hood.
@@ridewitmetv2216 I would love to vlog my adventures with the truck. Probably as soon as it passes smog and get my tags. It use to be a a work truck for construction but it’s time for it’s retirement and become my weekend cruiser :D

@@maonponce986 I installed a new dash in the truck and had all the interior shampoo'd and vacuumed since none of the seats had any tears or rips in them. Then I removed all of the old woodgrain. I also had the headliner repaired with a light gray suede... I sold the 15x10 baby billets to another friend of mine even though i originally planned on letting them go with the truck...

It came with the truck when I bought it… but looked like they made it out of a 91 Silverado grill they just cut the grill part out and added the billet bars… seemed pretty easy to make
Question for ya, On the phantom grill ! Is this a 88-93 grill or 94-98 Swapped grill? There are two diff styles for the year difference It used to be you had to buy the headlights recess kit when you ordered a real phantom for the 88-98 Your looks like it’s 88-93 truck Does that phantom set in without hitting the headlights? Does it fit across flush without any recessing brackets for the head lamps

@@pacof956 the grill came as you see it with the truck when I bought it…. When I took it apart to paint it it looks like they just cut the center squares out and installed the grill back in the day
The price varies ... different materials the amount of body work and how you want the truck painted could mean a $1500 paint job or 10k paint job or more... always remember good ain’t cheap and cheap ain’t always good... I had to learn that the hard way... this paint job has a little over 6k in it with all the body work and building the hood removing the bed glass and trim complete color change

Not only does it make it super ugly, And the body looks great by itself. But it also can get moisture between that and the body and cause rust. Hey, everybody has their own way of doing things that yours, but if you drove by me.I would laugh at you.

How is the phantom grille mounted?
Aluminum round stock through the billet grill and there are screws through the factory grill to hold it in place

It was on there when I bought the truck.. it’s one of the original from back in the 90s didn’t look hard to make though

That paint and that body is super clean.You take those ground effects off, and that is a masterpiece
