This is the best and perfect part of the movie. Look at Wang Ziqi. He played naturally and amazingly. This part is very convincing that he is one of the best Chinese movie actors that can play their role meaningful.
It's a culture thing. They don't shun her for being a single mother, but for not knowing who the father is, which is what the other girl suggests. For a woman to not know who the father of their child is, means she's a "whore" or at the very least an irresponsible, untrustworthy woman. It's similar to how it works in the west, but in the scene, due to translation it's a little more complicated to grasp.

What upsets me is how ready she is to create a bad core memory and potential root of trauma for the child just over a damn project. It is sickening how selfish she and those like her are to try to tear someone down just because they had a child out of wedlock. They are already unprotected, why prey on them? Smh. Evil 😈

Este dorama es lindo. Este niño es muy apuesto e inteligente. El segundo protagonista de lentes es muy apuesto , aunque hace papel de malo en el drama. Es un dorama excelente ,al igual que los protagonistas .

By proudly announcing the boy was his son, announcing that he never wanted or needed to hide the fact he had a son and that he went along with it because his woman thought it would affect his career, and he lifted the boy into his arms as if he'd done it a gazillion times before, announced he was leaving to put his son to bed, again, letting them all know he's a present and involved father because he puts his son to bed with the mom, and then announces he doesn't care about leaving them at the party - his family is his priority. That he put the viperous, interfering, woman in her place by announcing to the entire room how he disdains working with petty, jealous, mean, gossip mongers who put their nose into other people's personal business and lives just to be able to discredit and destroy their reputations and publicly embarrass them, and that's the reason he didn't invest in her company was a thing of beauty. The possessive manner in which he grabbed the mom's hand to connect father, son and mother as one unit spoke volumes about how he treasures her and will protect her at any cost. By walking out with his family, he gave them all a very clear message he abhors phony, conniving, self absorbed people, has no use for them, and he doesn't give a fig what their opinions are of him. I loved this scene.
