      Thanks John. There will only be 2 or 3 parts to this one. You will see, but it is pretty straightforward. It should look good if it matches what I can picture in me mind, but let's find out if reality will bite again.

    Quick and easy! You're a remarkable man Mike. One question - why can't you turn a hyperboloid? Isn't it circular at any cross section? I'm sure I'm too dim to understand the answer but I'll ask anyway...

      Thanks Mark. I guess if you made a template of a hyperbolic curve to make the curve you would get something close to a hyperboloid, but this way means that the curve has to be a hyperboloid (at least that is my understanding). If you look at my string art goblet it might help understand, I could trace the curve from that and turn it, but would have needed to construct it from straight lines first.

      It's a good question. I was trying to figure out a way of turn away most of the bulk before fluting, but would need the exact curve first and I can't visualise it or draw it in 2D.
