And I agree, D&D is the first thing I thought of when they said cantrip! And the magic, especially that scene with the rose creating, so cool! Ahhh Legendary was so good! I am hoping to read Muse soon as well as Shadow of the Fox! Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson was my top Fantasy read for the year, well my top read in general for last year!

I agree with you, I love Jude, she’s a endlessly interesting character for me. It’s like V.E. Schwab said in a interview, I’m paraphrasing, ‘Why do female protagonists have to be the self-sacrificing type? Why can’t they be looking out for their own ends?’ It’s especially annoying when so many give the ‘bad boy’ a pass. Not to say I don’t enjoy reading about a bad boy, but you probably know what I mean. 😂👍🏾

Also you’re in luck as Jessica Townsend said in an instagram story Q&A that she planned this as a 9 book series 😊 I’m looking forward to reading Naomi Novak as I’ve seen many people recommend her books Love the video as usual 😉
OMG Shadow of the Fox MUST be good if it beat out The Wicked King! I still need to read both of those but am SO excited for it! I might save TWK for the Faebruary readathon! And I love Uprooted too! I hope to read Spinning Silver sometime this year. Some of my favorite fantasy reads this year were The Real Boy by Anne Ursu, Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman, and The Enchanted Sonata by Heather Dixon Wallwork. (it's a Nutcracker and Pied Piper retelling that I read over Christmas and absolutely loved!)

I enjoyed the Mortal instruments series in 2018. I need to finish Clockwork Princess because I was meant to finish it in December but I was ill but I'm better now. Im going to read it in February xxx

I had such mixed feelings about KoA, but I do thing it succeeds as a series finale! Muse of Nightmares was amazing.

I finally got my copy of The Wicked King in from Good Choice Reading yesterday, so I'm finally going to dive into that after work!

Shadow Of The Fox kind of already is an anime. Inuyasha follows the same sort of plot.
