What happened to people who were donating so that they could join for a leg of the trip? Did nobody do that or are people like Matt and JC those who paid to do so - confused as I thought they were collaborators rather than paying guests.
I think JP must use the lay overs as a chance to recharge his batteries, chill out and prepare for the next leg, he has tons of paperwork to do, flight plans to work out, weather to keep an eye on... I hope JP has done some filming of the trip from his perspective as a really harrowing 80 days or so of being on the ball, alert, fit, healthy, well nourished and rested as well as all of the admin he has to take care of as well as making sure the plane is fit for purpose and that they have all safety angles covered. The guy must be exhausted now it's over and it's a real shame that it didn't seem like he got much chance to enjoy himself in the various countries, although he seems to enjoy looking down from the skies and pushing his own boundaries so for him perhaps the trip had a whole different meaning.
