Good job figuring out a possible solution to prevent future issues, especially those that no longer have warranty on their kayak. I wish that was something Hobie thought about to begin with, since it’s a stress point.
my co-worker is on his 3rd hull and 2nd drive in 2.5yrs bought his 360 2.5 yrs ago. my Compass 180 drive is on year 6 and been flawless even had to tow in the big bad PA 360 lol
Way to heavy I'm pretty loaded down with batteries motor n fishing gear just gonna try n fortify the underside of the hull when I get my warranty replacement
isn't it crazy the length you have to go through to keep from breaking your $5800 kayak? Man...sorry this happened, I hope your new hull comes soon. What a wait.
@rogercollins3 yeah hopefully all these issues get fixed on the upcoming models I love the platform. The wait is due to just missing the shipment of kayaks my dealer just received.
@@SKUNKMASTER916 That's good. I'm trying to figure out my 25 tourney build and my schedule starts the end of Jan with an event a month. I couldn't afford to lose a month waiting on a hull replacement. I may go a different route, looking at the Native Titan X. Hobie appears to have gotten too big and they certainly are too expensive.
@rogercollins3 good thing my season just ended looking at doing an event sometime in January as well I can still fish my rig also just bought a 21 Pa14 off a buddy that got into a 25 PA14 XR so I have 2 kayaks at the moment
@@SKUNKMASTER916 Good on you man! I hope your buddy likes the new 25, I'm not too sure I'm that impressed with it yet. I still can't believe Hobie didn't raise the price though.

Have you thought about a barn floormat. They are 5/8 in thick and about. 4x4feet. Cut it down to where you are standing and a hole for your hatch.
