I purchased a Cyrusher Kommoda on Black Friday (11/25/22), and not sure when it will arrive. I live in Virginia, and though we get very little snow (so far, none), it does get chilly. I watch some riders ride in the cold, and I don't think I will do that. I am looking to purchase a bike carrier, and I can afford this Thule Easyfold Xt2. I'm a bit scared of riding an e-bike. My son will probably kill me, wondering if I lost my senses! I am 78 years old! So, what say you? I don't have a problem with balance, and my health is fair. It would be good in helping me keep my weight down to about 160. Readers, let me know if you are close to 78 years or older

Oh hell.....Go for it (Obviously you have!) If you are still in good health, I can see no reason to slow down. i certainly have no intention of doing so.

@@e-BikeLife, I did go for it. It is now March 9, 2023. Without unboxing the Kommoda, I sent it back and got the updated version which is Ovia. The weather is cold, so I only put on 13 miles. I went to REI and will purchase the Thule Easy next month. I get 10 percent off the $999.99 price tag as a member. Also, since I have fat tires, they sell for $100 a ramp that will accommodate a fat tire. Also, I need the extended ties

@@GeorgeAlexa Hey! Congratulations!! It looks like you’re going to be having a good time with that. I was surprised, when I looked at the specs, that it fits riders all the way up to 6’6”! That’s pretty darn rare. Not that that probably impacts you, but at 6’8” I’m always in the lookout for bikes that are at least close to my size. Yea, those 4” tires are going to need the longer straps for sure. Have fun and thanks for the update.

My wife and I are 70…so many e-bikes and specs. We want a mid drive motor, hydraulic brakes, 750 watt motor, torque for climbing hills…do you have any recommendations?

As you say there are so many to choose from. Before I got my CUBE I really wanted a Gazelle and would have purchased one if they would have had a bigger frame. And, if I was in the market now I would try to get a bike with a gates carbon belt and an enviolo internal gear bike. Good luck in your search.

Hello there I’m just wondering after 1 year experience there was any issues with this rack?

Gosh! Has it only been a year? I have had no issues of any kind.

Thanks for sharing. How is this rack holding up thus far? I have read several mixed reviews....yet to decide if to go with this unit or some other brand (for my Lectric XP 2.0).

I’ve never heard of anybody having any issues with one. So far, it has worked well and held up fine. What negative things are others saying?

@@e-BikeLife I have seen reports of the platform latching arms failing, warranty issues from Thule, etc. Maybe isolated cases, but for the cost of this rack, I'd expect more value.

@@ebikefe I have had the rack for a year and I believe the arms would fail only if they are not properly installed onto the rear bar. Also it is important the jaws are tightened until a couple of clicks are heard. I have travelled thousands of miles with no issues.
