i was in the fast group. there was a white 600 that over took as all down craner curve at the start of the video, it wss bike with james elison on it, just to show how slow we are!
Have a 1098 for street was look for another track bike but felt maybe the 996 route was a worn out path, after seeing that you've renewed my faith in the classic race bike 996 all the way, Cheers!!!
Good to see the old stuff stomping all over new bikes out of corners, love the drop down Craner into the Old Hairpin. What tyres do you use? I'm about to replace some Dragon Supercorsa's (SC1 front, SC2 rear) on my SPS which lasted 7 trackdays, bit worn out now though.. Wondering whether to stick with them, go for the Diablo's or try something else.
i was using part worn 5 yr old metzla ractec, i only use second hand tyres from bsb superstock or supersport tyres. they work fine for me cant comment on diablos but they look nice best investment is too buy tyre warmers and use them all day even leaving them on at lunch time and put them on after your last session (not turned on) for half hour or so just so they cool down a bit slower.
Andy thought it must be photo shopped because it is Donnington and its sunny lol then remember how hard it was to try and keep up with you and the 'kids' lol nice video dude im trying to posts my Manx vids but their to long any idea,s ? If son facebook me cheers Richie .
@@cbandyxxx in your opinion is the 853 nice to ride and noticeable difference over the standard 748 . I’m still putting mine together .but and bolt build
@@delstephens7441 to tell you the truth I never rode it as a 748, I bought the bike over winter, then bought the 916 pistons and barrels, got bored in February so decided to build it there and then. It didn't run well on the standard chip, I think I got a chip from louig moto that fixed it. Sorry I can't remember but it was 20 yrs ago
there a great bike but high maintaince! you need a big wallet to run one, i couldn't afford to in the end. so bought a k6 and went 4 seconds a lap slower!
one of the best donington track day vids!!!! if not the best!!! EXCELENT riding!!!! i realy enjoyed that!!!
You don't need horsepower, you need a Ducati and a good driver! Nice job man, you saved my day!
How so?
@@cbandyxxx I own the same bike and love it to see it’s capabilities on the track. And it is still competitive.💪🏻

sorry I have no idea how to edit the start of the video out!
+Andy Burbidge you can do that in the youtube video editor if you don´t have any video editing software.

I'm embarrassed to say that I've never ridden Donnington but I knew every turn thanks to the Playstation! :D
its a modern classic
What camera are you using if you don't mind me asking?
top ride on the old girl... :) well done!
ducati rule the tracks
Nice riding though , I’ve got 748 with 853 conversion
I had one of those, briefly.
@@cbandyxxx I had a brand new SPS …regret selling
It was 748sps that we converted to 853. But the 996 I was riding in the video was possibly the best race bike I ever rode.

its a countour hd camara running at 30 fps rather than 60fps
Ducati powwwaaaa!
I think you and the guy in front might be in the wrong group 😃
At that point I had raced for 8 years! But I was super respectful of the other riders
@@cbandyxxx I usually go down a group when I get overtaken that often.😁
