Not completely unpopular; I had a 2015 m4 e85 MHD tune close to 585 hp. Now I have an '18 TTRS stg 2 e85 APR tune...the TT is better in all aspects imo. And I'm a bimmer enthusiast through & through...(2 M3's, an M4, M5, X5 and 2 s1000rr bikes) The TT's interior is better, the sound is better, having awd in almost every street application is better, the tuning potential is better and the car just has an overall better and more enjoyable driving experience. And unfortunately, M cars always have haunting ailments - like vanos issues, the M4 had crank hub issues that if not addressed would grenade an engine and last but not least - oiling issues leading to plenty of rod bearing issues (ahem M5) that have plagued plenty of M V8's and 10's. Bimmers are great vehicles, but nothings really competing with a tuned RS with the 5 pot when you start doing comparisons. Just my 2.
The Turbo Inline-5 in the TTRS is basically the audi R8’s twin-turbo V10 cut in half. Or to put it in a better way since im pretty sure the inline-5 existed first, the Audi R8’s twin turbo V10 is two of the turbo inline-5’s put together
@@SychicGamer in terms of VAG the 5.0 V10 Lamborghini came first in the Gallardo but VW released the 2.5 I5 shortly for the MK5 Golf/Jetta which is very LOOSELY based on the 5.0 V10 as they have some similarities like same bore x stroke, cylinder head design, and one half of the header from the 5.0 V10 will fit onto the 2.5 with one slight modification to the last bolt hole. After it’s run with VW, it continued onto the TTRS/RS3. Although yes, Audi has had I5’s in the past before these engines, they are not related to the modern inline 5 from VW/Audi.
Sounds really good to me, but it need the Audi Sport bodykit parts!
Yes yes
unpopular opinion i would rather have a TT-RS over an M4
No one gives a fuck what you'd rather have
@@mikeoxlong3504 Going by the fact that you sound so upset, it sounds like you do
