Hi, I have the same bike and find it so comfortable. Had to change the saddle of course but everything else was perfect for my first touring bike. Great video, thanks for sharing

Thanks, the same from this side, even the stock saddle is OK for me. What saddle did you put on?

Hi, I have just come to your channel and I really like it. Also, I live in NL (although not originally from here). I don't know if you have a komoot, strava or wikiloc account but it would be really nice if you could share the itinerary... I'm planning to bike from Wageningen to France or Italy... and it would be really helpful to follow already a path! thanks man!

Zeer leuke videos.

      Happy Cycling !

Superb first part! AWOL looks amazing. Also it is nice to see bicycle tourer with decent gear setup. Only two back bags + bar bag. I wanted to buy this bike, but its too pricey for my pocket so I ended up with used Surly LHT frame and cycled from Prague to Milan through Austria also in 2016. Now I am saving for my camera gear for next trips so I would like to know what type of camera you have used? And how you have riged the camera for the shot which starts at 2:24? For my eye it is a superb angle. Good view plus a feeling of a bike ride because you can see part of front wheel. Now I am heading to next parts!

Hi there, thanks! The AWOL is my first touring bike so not much to compare it with. But for me it works out really well. Heard/read a lot of good things about the Surly LHT, thought it was only sold in the US though, apparently not true.
Camera I used was the Gopro Session (1st gen). Image is a bit less than the normal gopro I believe but good enough for me. The real advantages are that it is waterproof without a case. 1 button click needed to turn the camera on and start recording and 1 click to stop recording and switch it off again. It is really sturdy, already dropped it once on the concrete while riding my bike, no issue. And the microphones are really good in somehow filtering out the wind noises, very important while recording during riding. For mounting it on my bike I used a mini tripod, the one with the bendy legs. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/BF-oyUEr3eI/w-d-xo.htmlm8s . I believe it is a Joby gpod mini. If you have tape on your handle bar it has enough grip to attach it anywhere on the handle bar. The angle you mention is on the bottom part of the handle bar, the tripod is upside down then. Advantage of that angle is also that is not in the way for braking and switching hand positions.
Coming summer I want to ride to the North of Italy. This mean crossing the Alps, never ridden in these high mountains before, so exiting and challenging for me.
Are you from the Czech Republic?
      Cheers.

Thanks, for the reply. No, I am not from Czech Republic, I am Lithuanian. The part from Innsbruck to Bozen(Bolzano) through Brenner pass quite stunning especially for the guy from country with no mountains. And the climb up to Brenner is not hard. (I am not a cyclist and I never have cycled in the mountains before). From Brennner to Bozen it is almost always downhill plus on a bicycle lane. After Bozen I continued to Verona. Most part through wine yards and small Italian vilages I liked it also because almost all the way to Verona it is possible to ride on a bike lane so its easy to cover long distances and it is a relaxing ride when you don't need to concentrate on any cars. Despite the riding, Bozen and Verona is a super nice cities I liked both of them more than Milan. Actually I didn't liked Milan at all compared to Bozen, Verona, Venice, Bergamo, Florence, Rome, Naples...
