So more like a Suriage than a split-second block. I'll try this in future practices. Thank you!

I learned to keep the left armpit close to the body, a strong step to the side, and use the wrists to strike dou. And I learned to push away like Suriage. And do not make angle blade horizontal. Thank you for expert teaching. Arigatou! And watching the last part, to seme, invite.

I have been taught by many Senseis that the shinai tip shouldn't go down after applying Tenouchi. In competitions the tip goes down to allow the shinai to exit in a more glamorous way and have a exaggerated Zanshin to appeal to the Shinpans, but it is less of a true cut

      Thanks for your comment.
Just like how to climb mountains, there are several ways to climb kendo. I hope my video is helpful.

@@koyamakendo I practiced this Kaeshi Do. It allows a strong zanshin. I still prefer a more traditional Kaeshi Do but I will use this form for some time. So thank you

Using < > keyboard keys to skip forward frame by frame
Am i correct to say that sensei's left foot moves forward slightly with the kaeshi (in a suriage motion), then cutting the Do with the right foot?
