We get a bunch of those little, juvenile king mackerel up here in NC, and it's an easy way to get a ticket. Besides the lateral line, one more useful identification for Spanish vs. Kings is the front of the Spanish's dorsal fin will be dark blue or black. On the king mackerel, that fin is going to be light colored.

I so wish me and my daughter fisher the way you and your dad do. We use to before she became a teenager. I am praying she grows out of not thinking fishing is fun and a great way to spend time together. She use to duck hunt, dove hunt and fish with me. The last 4 years she hasn’t and now we just got her a car and she got her drivers license. I hope she comes around before she leaves for college

Idk if true going to read this but I want to hear people’s opinion on this. My family is going on a vacation to the keys for a week fishing. I thought it would be a good idea to make a diy bait pen to hold excess bait from the day since we aren’t great at finding bait. (Either the 50 gal drum or pvc and mesh for the pen itself) Thankyou and I love ur content :)
