- Richard Patrick, frontman of Filter and former touring guitarist of Nine Inch Nails, joined Matt Pinfield for this episode of New & Approved.
Richard dives into his past and discusses how he first developed interest in music as a kid. We then learn about how he met Trent Reznor and joined in with Nine Inch Nails as their touring guitarist. Matt asks Richard about how he eventually left the band to pursue his own project. He then talks about how the beginnings of Filter and how the band got discovered in the early '90s.
Filter is still going strong today and just released their 8th studio album "The Algorithm," which Richard goes into detail about during the interview. They also recently opened for Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper on their "Freaks on Parade Tour."
