Seeing that 2nd ID soldier giving the little afghani girl skittles in the infantry museum gave me cold chills. In 2009-10 during my first deployment with 2nd ID I cant tell you how many times the little kids would run up to us asking for skittles or whatever candy we had on us to snack on. I always carried a couple bags of skittles on me and I just found it so special that the army has a display to show everyone one of the little things that brought smiles to our faces during the war.
