I see the way the Northern proponent and defenders of this bill want it to be hastily passed and want it to look like it's nothing serious, tha it's just touching (removing) one or two words and that's all. This is coming at a time when many of the menbers of the house are not on seat, when many of the members do not have a cipy of the so call bill on such a sensitive matter. They just want to disregard the sensitivity and get it forced down the throats of the house just like that. Who does that? If the bill is in the interest of the citizens, even though what it seeks to deal with has been addressed by other extant laws as said, then it should be carefully looked at, the pros and the cons and then see whether it has been taken care of already by others available laws or not. But these guys don't want this, they want it done hastily. In fact, till today, the inputation of "sharia" in the constitution is a major problem to other entities in the Telugu space of Nigeria. Now this bill is building on this very problem, trying to dodge or neglect the sensitivity of the issue. Imagine the cunniness of these guys. You want it to be passed first and then later be debated? Really! We can clearly see what these guys are trying to do there. This is matter of constitutional review, every usage of words were carefully done. Despite that, we still have issues with certian of its provisions. But these guys just want to move it as though it's nothing serious and it's just a simple matter of removal word(s) and the bill is settled, not looking at the broader impact, not considering how it can be perceived by coming generations of interpreters.
