Well when you have 3 historical major rugby nations to pick the best of the best for your squad, it's surprising GBR ain't dominating every time they assemble during Olympic year.

It’s mostly our union lads who do pretty well 😂 our track record in the sevens is quite different I’m afraid

Yeah, as a saffa, it’s nice to see Hooper in a winning team. Man deserves it.

NZ lifted their game after a very poor day 1. Australia needs to bring Corey Toole back in from the Brumbies before the Olympics. Blistering pace is invaluable in sevens.
Why did the US player delay placing the ball down for the last try when they were still behind? Every second was valuable.

This new for 2024 format has been an absolute failure.
8 semi-finalists from 3 pools has been stupid, there was better quality rugby from previous years matches involving mens teams now excluded to make way for many less than average women's teams, some great venues are now missing from the calendar, live spectator numbers look WAAAY down on 2024 because the format is terrible, and I'm sure TV numbers are down too.
It's great that women's sport is growing, but I want to be able to choose when I watch it ... not have it forced down by throat by World Rugby. The loss of Kenya alone in the men's draw isn't compensated for by the entire womens competition.
