    You mentioned a new drain plug. Have you tried PVC pipe? Cut a length of pipe at whatever depth you want the water, file or grind the base in a wedge/ cone shape, stick it in drain. You don’t have to reach to bottom of livewell to drain and over flow just goes down pipe. I think I used 3/4 pipe. You probably have some left over from your live scope bracket. Just a tip from a cold water fisherman. We fish upper Mississippi River all winter and we pull the pipe and pick out walleyes instead of reaching down in cold water

      They are definitely not easy to catch. This is why I love chasing them. Just when I feel I have them figured out, they change on me. It is still kind of early for the creeks but I will be looking very hard after the cold rain this week. Keep after them and you will find them!

    Dude enjoy watching just thinking you would get more followers if you educate more. Not many people care to just watch someone fish. Most are looking for knowledge. People want to learn Just saying keep up the great work and if you move out about another maybe 50 yards back towards Gaylord there are lots of crappie on the old sunken pontoon boat

    Just never understood this whole live scope thing. Even if I were rich and could purchase one I'd never. I don't care what anyone says, having one of those takes either some if not all of the suspense of catching fish.

    • @KidKrappie
      @KidKrappie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm definitely not rich LOL. I bought it because I want to run guide trips to the best of my ability and buying livescope gives me this. I am sure if you spent 300-400$ on a guided crappie trip, you would want the guide to have livescope.I am not surprised that you don't understand the livescope movement as most that do not have one don't. Rewatch the video at about 7:07. You will notice my surprised reaction. With livescope, you learn quickly how the success you had before it was basically luck and how different they act then you would think. At 7:07, that fish was a ways off and came swimming fast and slammed my jig. I was surprised because of the amount of fish that I see that do not bite. I catch maybe 5 percent of the fish I see. Trust me, just because you can see them the whole time, it does not make it any less of a surprise when once comes out of nowhere and slams it.

    • @KidKrappie
      @KidKrappie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Crappie Chancellor I am not surprised by your opinion of it taking the suspense out of it because this is the opinion that most who don't have it have. Just because you see fish with it, does not mean they will bite. As for spooking them, I have only seen it at Fork which is not surprising as the amount of pressure that lake gets is crazy and they are probably spooked by the boat and not livescope itself. While I do not doubt fish can learn, I just don't feel they live long enough to where it would hurt anything. Most of the times when a legal crappie gets caught, it will be filleted. It's not like a bass where they are caught and then released their whole lives over and over. JMO

    • @ppdrawings
      @ppdrawings 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel the same way!
      I love the suspense of an unexpected thump!
      There's no way you're not expecting the thump... when you can clearly see the fish coming towards your jig. I'm not doing any guiding so I'm not buying a LS.

  • @willbledsoe2856
    @willbledsoe2856 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    this really doesnt show me how to locate and catch without on a live scope. "more so catching fishing on a live scope" i feel like. Trying to learn how to go out there and find the fish and fish them without the finders. Those type of videos will help the more unfortunate. How to find them in rivers and lakes.

    • @KidKrappie
      @KidKrappie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, livescope is the best tool to find these crappie with. Crappie are not like bass and you can't simply throw a crankbait down the shore and eventually run into them. Crappie are usually sitting on cover in deeper water and this is where electronics come in to play. You may want to go back through my channel as well. I have numerous videos this time of year walking the bank catching crappie with a jig and bobber and no electronics. If can be done without them but it sure makes it easier.
