After Corelli and Caruso, Carreras was probably the greatest tenor of the 20th Century [even counting both Kraus and Vickers]. What an irony that his health took him from us for the years when most tenors are at their peak. He will always be among the greatest of the 20th Century.
@@WilsonWatt-q2e Well, we’ll just have to agree to disagree - it’s kind of subjective when it comes to the emotional side. But many professionals have talked about Pavarottis great technique…
Nn ci sono commenti,. Montserrat, è , e sarà una delle più grandi Amelia, del 900, che hanno calcato il palcoscenico dopo la seconda Guerra Mondiale. Davide.
That is from her performances as Violetta in Traviata at Chicago Lyric in the early 70s. I saw her in that production and she was absolutely the best Violetta I heard in over 50 years iof opera going.
Super duetti !!! Brava Montserrat and Bravissimo Josep !!!
Montse and Josep together are pure dynamite! Fantastic. Thank you so much

You have heard of Bjoerling?
Pavarotti was easily better…
@@flav2689 Absolutely not! Pavarotti did not have Carreras' emotive communication ability nor did he have as good a technique.

I adore Carreras. He himself named Placido Domingo.

@boy170ful Este dueto es de la opera "Un Ballo in Maschera" de Guiseppe verdi, que bueno que te haya gustado el video :)
I wonder what all the screaming was about? Perhaps Ecco l'orrido campo was not to their liking?
and the conductor is...?
