I do not think any reasonable football person expects JA to start next year. DG is the guy. Tutoring Arnold into the system. If Jackson starts next year Dillion fell on his face.
NO! Moving from H.S. straight to QB1 is rare, and 99.9% of times a desperation move. They simply have no one else. This guy needs to learn, he has holes in his college level game. Holes the staff will grow him through. I do think he will be QB2 though, if he shows himself capable through Spring and summer. Who else from last season can any of us think of who they trust to step in, that they didn't back then? The T.E. was QB1 in D.G. absence. I hope he pushes gabriel, not out of malice, but for the good of the team. I like them both. But we need continuity at QB, and fast. If Gabriel goes down, please don't throw a Non QB back in there. Wildcat needs a chance to throw if it blows up.
JA is in a different level than most freshman he has all the tools to start it would depend on how fast he is able to grasp Lebby’s system that said it would be better if he could wait until the next year or even the middle of the season if DG got hurt or JA was just that much better you couldn’t leave him on the bench
Jackson needs to be given time to learn the plays and to bulk up if mid- season he has that down and we are up by a few scores then have Jackson play some.
johnny manzel started as a true freshman in game 1

If JA wants to compete for the job, JA will get the job, if it's done fair
@@loribrogdon7842 What is this "If it's done fair bull shit.?
If they did it fair yes Arnold WILL start
So no hope for General Booty?
It's a "What If?". Jackson would have to beat Gabriel out for the job. It's Gabriel's to lose at this point.
JA already knows lebbys system, bc they did same thing at his HS

Someone will ask, What College game (J.A.) ? Exactly!!!

Didn't Quinn Ewers start the first game as a freshman for Texas last season?
He had one year he red shirted at Ohio state
He was a redshirt fresman. He finished his first year at tOSU as a redshirt true freshman than transfered to Texas.
