His performance in the finals is nothing short of legendary for a small shooting guard with literally no serious help man offensively.
I would officially put Iverson top 15 ever if he won with this team, just for the simple fact, that his team excelled on defense but couldn't make a shot except Iverson. His Coach even told him, if Iverson didn't take as many shots as he did, they wouldn't win more than 25 games. Simply amazing effort by AI despite the loss.
That's why I started liking him and think he's the best cause he beat the best NBA team in history even if it was one win he beat em which nobody else cld that year in the playoffs and that y 01 Lakers are the best team in NBA history!!!

The dominance of Shaq was really a huge problem to 76ers. Nobody can stop him. Kobe provided the scoring support & the points of Fox, Fisher, Horry, Grant, Shaw & Lue were really evident. Iverson played his best but it wasn't enough..

Sixers played pretty solid the entire series, Lakers were just the better team. Didn't realize how close the first few games were.

This Lakers is not only about Shaq and Kobe. Each Players played a tough defense as a team and at the same time fired the Sixers with Sharp shooting. At the other side, Sixers was so depended on iverson. The result was the answer, Sixers was still lucky to win 1 game

This isn't a dig at kobe but ppl consider kobe the best or 1 of the best...but I'm not sure he was even the best pg player of all time... Iverson in his prime was sensational, damn near carried himself to the nba finals. And at 6'0 165lbs ... That's damn near unheard of to not have a very supportive cast/team to make it to the nba finals
Pg? He was a shooting guard … but iverson definitely was better at this stage but Kobe ended being a better player in the end. A top 10 player but maybe 8-10.. personally I don’t think he was ever on shaqs level from 2000-2004.. Shaq was a fucking monster.. even in the 90s Shaq was just insane.. but he had so many great centers to deal with then. But in 2000 he just became unstoppable
@@TheSands83 I agree on Shaq. Although Kobe definitely reached Shaq’s level by 03. Put up 30/7/6 on 45%, 38% from 3, 2.2 stl, even a block per game. Like Shaq he had MVP level numbers. I believe nine straight 40 pt games as well
