Your captain will take kickoffs, hence your prop kicking off. Very annoying.
You can add players to your squad, not sure why you couldn't (below your subs)

Historically, no points at all were awarded for a try, the reward being to "try" to score a goal (to kick the ball over the cross bar and between the posts).

I’m thankful I didn’t buy rugby 22, it looks no different from rugby 20! The physics are off, the other player awareness is non existent, the players eyes and facial expressions are dead/non existent. Compare this with madden 22 or fifa 22 game mechanics and you’ll find this is a joke. It should be considered an indie game and retail for $9.99 (or £6.99/€7.99) that would make more sense.

The difference between Rugby 20 and Rugby 22 is that 22 has more licensed teams and players, the international team ratings have been updated and the whole f the game mechanics have been updated
