If you restricted the Guest group so that guests can't move around anymore, you will simply have to assign a different server group to them :) You could use the server group "Normal" for instance. By default this server group has all the required permissions set.
Hello Matti, Quick silly queestion, I have added -nosingleinstance to my ts sc icon to open multiple instances to test, however when i open a second instance and join a guest. the system recognised that i am the admin and enters me as (admin)guest. with admin rights, how can i open a truly independent second instance of TS so i can test the differences between admin and guest like you are doing on your screen. Click at Settings, Identities and create a new one. Then, on your other client, click Connections, Connect, More and choose the new identity. Now you will be a guest
I want to make a particular channel invisible.....when am playing multiplayer game with my buddies i feel disturbed when somebody pokes me while in a match. So I want to make only one channel invisible. I don't want to remove poke power of anyone.

your video is excellent and you are a natural teacher. :) i am head admin for a very large clan. i am wondering how to keep the kids locked down to one channel for under 18's . if i raise the join power of each and every channel except kids, guests from other clans and visitors cant join either. any advice?
Hello, simply add the permission "i_client_talk_power" with value -1, skip and negated both ticked. This will prevent them from talking. If they are supposed to see what's inside other channels, set "i_client_max_channel_subscriptions" to -1.
Hello, as far as I know there are two solutions to your problem. a) temporary passwords. I can't really explain the feature in detail here, please right-click on your server name, select "Temporary Passwords" and make one for your guests or members, which will move them to a different channel. b) a bot. There are tools such as the JTS3ServerMod, which will allow you to do just that. I have made a setup tutorial on German about this, maybe that can help you installing it (can't paste links here)
I did exactly what you say but my Admins can still join a Super Admin channel. The join power needed on the Super Admin channel is 75, but the Admins only have a join power of 50. Even though they have a lower power they can still join the Super Admin channel, why?

The permission which grants them this power is called "b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions". If you choose to remove this permission, you will need to add a skip flag for every permission you do not want to be overridden by Channel (Group) Permissions, such as the "Client Move Power", "Group Member Add Power", "Client Kick Power" (all of which would otherwise be overridden by the Channel Admins values)... You get the drill. Enjoy and good luck!

What about voice power? I'm making a rank on our TS and i want it to be "STFU" - so they are punished and cant talk in chat, in case they talk too much. I've searched voice, talk and speak, but nothing happened.
Please explain to me or make a video on how i can set up a rank that prevents people from moving or speaking at all. Its more of a troll rank that id like to have on my ts like a "time out"

tater259 remove "channel admin" from yourself, for some reason, this is negating any permissions that "server admin" grants you. Once you remove channel admin, your server admin powers should take back over again and you should be able to edit.

That means you're not an admin on the TeamSpeak 3 server you want to edit.

Just add a Needed Poke Power to the clients Client Permissions and put it higher than anybodies Poke Power

what i dont understand is i have my soldiers with 10 join power, but they can join a channels with needed join power 50 and 75... make sno sense
Please make sure "Skip Channel Group Permissions" is disabled for that group.
